A southern girl, Amie, is required to file a Hardship Affidavit for
the US Customs and Immigrations Office "Proving Hardship..".. the
hardship of having to pack up and leave her roach infested, two
room apartment in the redneck haven of Middle Tennessee to live in
a castle... in the French countryside, where she will be forced to
eat croissants and pain au chocaolat for breakfast and drink hard
cider for lunch, and cheese... apple tarts....(you get the picture)
if her new French husband is kicked out of the country because he
doesn't get his Green Card. So, she goes back to the beginning....
to tell the story of their love... to prove to INS that they should
not have to endure separation either from each other, or Amie's
home...the South.
