In Panama wurde die privatrechtliche Stiftung als Rechtsperson am 12. Juni 1995 durch das Gesetz Nr. 25, La Ley de Fundaciones de Interes Privado (LFIP), als lex specialis in das panamaische Rechtssystem integriert. Es handelt sich dabei beinahe um eine Kopie der liechtensteinischen Familienstiftung, wobei auch neue Artikel hinzugefugt wurden. Der liechtensteinischen Stiftung diente wiederum als Vorbild die Schweiz. In der Arbeit hat sich die Autorin zum Ziel gesetzt, die panamaische Stiftung darzulegen und sie rechtsvergleichend - mit Hilfe der historischen, systematischen und grammatikalischen Auslegung - derjenigen aus Liechtenstein gegenuberzustellen.
