I've tried many other brands of electric blankets and this is by far the best. The heating coils are narrowly spaced and extend the entire length and width of the blanket, so warmth is provided throughout. It heats up quickly and on setting 3 is hot! My favourite feature is that the plastic hubs where the cables connect to the blanket on each side of the bed are located right in the top corner and are very small and low profile. It lies under the top outer corner of your pillow and you do not feel it at all. I have struggled with a big lump under my shoulder with so many other brands! Based on other reviews, I took a chance and ordered this for my extra length king bed, hoping it would fit. Indeed it does! It is a very generous fit, with the skirt easily able to accommodate an extra length and extra depth mattress.
