For those who love history intertwined with a great story, "Saga of a Texas Ranger" is the book for you. Set in the Republic of Texas circa, 1840 to 1846, before the days of statehood, the story deals with the life of sixteen year-old Caleb McAdams who joins the Texas Rangers at the Battle of Plum Creek after his family is massacred by the Comanches. A rousing tale of adventure, romance, and perseverance, you won't want to put it down.
