"Hayes's flowing plot, enlivened by several wry twists, is
decidedly satisfying. Fiedler's spare, earth-toned paintings convey
the particulars of the setting from traditional garb to the
sprawling landscapes as well as the timelessness of
folklore."--"Publishers Weekly"
