The Bum Drum Conundrum teaches children about the value of consent
and that saying "no" when you don't like something is ALWAYS ok.
Written by Melanie Proulx and Ashley Lanni, The Bum Drum Conundrum
tackles the topic of consent in a way that is fun and easy for
children to understand, allowing parents to discuss this really
important topic with young children in a simple, straightforward,
way. Increasingly, the topic of consent is being discussed inside
and outside of the classroom. The Bum Drum Conundrum is a stepping
stone in helping start these conversations.

Learning how to say NO!
A little girl named Malina isn’t happy with her friends’ new game they’ve called Bum Drum. She learns from her mother that saying NO when finding oneself in an uncomfortable situation is fine.
A little boy named William learns the importance of respecting others.
A beautifully illustrated book filled with vibrant colours, this book will help children learn the very important lesson of saying NO when they’re uncomfortable with a friend’s game or suggestion.
