Does what it says it does

I've had my Modena for over 3 years now and it still works fine. Decent for the price, gets the job done alright. It percolates and makes froth well enough, but the steaming dial does get hot quickly. The espresso function is a dut in my opinion as the brew is far too weak for a decent cappochino or latte. The machine is cheaply made and consist mostly of plastic. A water level on the outside for both the percolator and the steaming compartment would have been useful. The aluminium espresso scoop lost its luster after the first wash. But in all honesty, you can't expect a deluxe model in this price range.

I had a Mellerware Modena - 3-in-1 coffee machine for years, It was large with a water level indicator on the outside. It made excellent coffee and the keep warm function was superb. The only down side is that it caught fire, taking part of the kitchen with it! This replacement is far smaller, has no water indicator and is mostly thin plastic. But it keeps a pot of coffee warm all day, which to me is very important.
