Aided by his half English step-brother Moses, a weathered Polaroid
photograph, and a completely fictitious document, Alex Sorros
embarks on a quest to find the elusive Annabelle Hipster. One part
amateur detective noir, one part strangle-your-family drama,
Breaking Bones is a story of drinking too much, thinking too much,
and more or less failing at life. Alex was an under achiever who
grew up to become nothing special. He is a professional elementary
school substitute and a minor league consumer of fine whiskeys.
Between dueling with Francophile immigrants and dodging his
landlord for seven consecutive months, Alex spends a lot of time in
diners writing stories about the other customers based on their
bizarre physical appearances, stories that inevitably end up in the
trashcans of North America's finest publishers.
