The purpose of this research was to provide a common framework and language for the definition of cyberspace. Specifically this project looked into three key areas what cyberspace is, why it is unique and important, and the capabilities and mission areas. An extensive literature review was completed. The research indicated that the fundamental problem of defining cyberspace evolved as cyberspace evolved within each community in the Air Force. The culmination of this effect was an encompassing definition as well as a set of models to graphically depict cyberspace and the interactions with the other information domains.
