These Tales are strange, but true. Some are poignant, even sad -
others exhibit wry humour and irony. The Japanese occupation of
Hong Kong is seen from a bovine perspective. Other animals feature
a rat that sings zydeco, a dog that is a humanoid, a grey mare with
a dislike of bad language and a bicycle that transmogrifies into a
giant black falcon. Mechanical objects develop a life and
personality of their own. The human characters represent bad in the
best of them and good in the worst. The spectrum covers clowns,
gangsters, drag queens, temptresses and hard nosed business folk.
No living creatures were harmed in the writing of this collection
of Tales.
