Joplin's classic piano piece became immensely popular after its use
in the 1973 film "The Sting." It's always been a favorite, though.
The original piano version was reprinted several times after its
first appearance in 1904. Seargeant's outstanding new orchestration
requires only a Beethoven-sized orchestra and is sure to be an
enjoyment to audiences everywhere whether they are familar with
Joplin's original or not.
