exposition than those on earlier books of the New Testament, and in
literary excellence will not compare with the Homilies on the
Statues as the great preacher was burdened with administrative
details, and harassed by Court intrigues. His sermons were often
given with far less preparation than his earlier work. Contents:
St. Chrysostom as a Homilist, Homilies on the Epistles of St. Paul
the Apostle to the Galatians and Ephesians, Homilies on the
Epistles of St. Paul the apostle to the Philippians, Colossians and
