This collection of articles on Latin American Jews comprises a wide
range of subjects, including comparative analyses of Latin American
Jewry from the perspective of globalization and transnationalism,

criticism. Based on an international conference organized by the
University of Sao Paulo, the Dahan Center in Bar Ilan University,

attention to the Jews of Brazil, who are underrepresented in
academic works in English, and at the same time it reflects the way
in which Latin American Jewry is perceived by scholars of Jewish
Studies in Israel.
