The Manchurian "Incident" of 1931 led to a Japanese occupation, the birth of Manchoukuo and the withdrawal of Japan from the League of Nations. Truths that some people shy away from and won't admit that is what happened back then. Eleven months after I was born, I went on to have a different life to what my parents anticipated. I came through the other side to write this book with confidence. I feel blessed that I have achieved this.
