A summary of the Asian pioneers in urban regeneration system
construction, such as Hong Kong, Taipei, Tokyo and Singapore.
Comprehensively interpret, summarize and compare the latest
progress of urban transformation and urban regeneration in China.
An in-depth and all-round study of the policies and practices of
urban regeneration in the three Chinese pioneer cities of
Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai. The Chinese version has sold

Dysfunction of nuclear-cytoplasmic transport systems has been
associated with many human diseases. Thus, understanding of how
functional this transport system maintains, or through dysfunction
fails to maintain remains the core question in cell biology. In
eukaryotic cells, the nuclear envelope (NE) separates the genetic
transcription in the nucleus from the translational machinery in
the cytoplasm. Thousands of nuclear pore complexes (NPCs) embedded
on the NE selectively mediate the bidirectional trafficking of
macromolecules such as RNAs and proteins between these two cellular
compartments. In this book, the authors integrate recent progress
on the structure of NPC and the mechanism of nuclear-cytoplasmic
transport system in vitro and in vivo.

This book explains global trends and strategies in the shipping
business, looking at the role of logistics service providers and at
how information technology can help shipping operations. It also
introduces best practices and advice that will allow professionals
to improve the management of shipping and logistics
activities. The book consists of sections examining shipping
and trade, business strategies for shipping, intermodal container
transport operations, and ports. This new edition adds a new
fifth section with four new chapters that discusses contemporary
issues in shipping. The new chapters are related to risk management
in shipping, shipping security and safety, environmental and social
sustainability, and a review of new technologies in the shipping
industry and their future potential.  An invaluable
source of information for researchers and advanced, or graduate,
students, Shipping and Logistics Management is also a useful
reference for shipping practitioners and consultants.
This text provides a comprehensive and state-of-the-art overview of
the evaluation and management of liver mass lesions. Major topics
covered include epidemiology, the use of different imaging
modalities in the differential diagnosis of liver lesions, the use
of biomarkers and immunohistochemical stains for diagnosis, and
treatment of the different types of liver masses. These include
hepatocellular adenoma and hepatocellular carcinoma, fibrolamellar
carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, hemangioma, focal nodular
hyperplasia, liver masses in adult patients with congenital heart
disease, and other infectious, inflammatory, and cystic lesions of
the liver. The volume presents highly practical case presentations
of typical patients seen in a clinical hepatobiliary practice.
Written by experts from multiple disciplines, Evaluation and
Management of Liver Masses is a valuable resource for clinicians
and professionals who manage patients with these conditions.
This book explores federal health care support programs that have
been instituted to treat children that are deaf and hard of hearing
and to improve children's dental services and oral health care, as
well as medical care programs for children with Down Syndrome and
their special health care concerns. The federal government supports
these children through the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention
(EHDI) program, which awards grants to states to develop systems to
screen and diagnose new-borns and infants for hearing loss. The
Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009
studies children's access to dental care; and the Prenatally and
Postnally Diagnosed Conditions Awareness Act focuses on the
effectiveness of current health care and family support programs
for the families of children with disabilities.
Electronic skins are critical for many applications in
human-machine-environment interactions. Tactile sensitivity over
large areas can be especially applied to prosthetics. Moreover, the
potential for wearables, interactive surfaces, and human robotics
have propelled research in this area. In this Element, we provide
an account and directional atlas of the progress in materials and
devices for electronic skins, in the context of sensing principles
and skin-like features. Additionally, we give an overview of
essential electronic circuits and systems used in large-area
tactile sensor arrays. Finally, we present the challenges and
provide perspectives on future developments.
