Manna in the Morning is a collection of devotions written to
refresh weary or malnourished Christians who need sustenance from
the bread of Heaven. These short devotions, taken from every book
of the Bible give Christians on the go a quick but nourishing word
for the day. Having a hearty appetite for the Word of God is as
essential to our spiritual walk as the manna the Israelites
gathered each morning was for the nourishment of their physical
bodies, during their journey through the desert. Daily "Manna
Moments" prompt the reader into a time of reflection and
application of the Word. The tasty morsels of Scripture in this
book are the result of the author's application of Romans 15:4
which says: Everything that was written in the past was written to
teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the
scriptures we might have hope.
An 11:59 Experience is when you have come to the end of yourself
and all of your natural abilities. It's a time when nothing and no
one can help you. The circumstance can make you feel helpless,
hopeless or even desperate. The situation may be physical,
financial or even emotional. You are in a dilemma. The only
solution is a "Miracle" which you can't perform nor anyone else,
except God. God created time and put us in it. Our lives are
regulated and driven by it. If we call on God during those
stressful seasons, will He come through in time, we wonder?
Sometimes we feel so over whelmed, that we forget that not only CAN
God help us, but that He WANTS to and WILL intervene on your
behalf. He has a purpose for every 11:59 experience you encounter.
Jackie Morris has a heart for those who are hurting and have
forgotten or have not yet experienced that God is a present help in
times of trouble. Jackie uses the stories of familiar Bible
Characters as well as her own testimony to awaken the reader's
awareness of their own 11:59 experience. We've all had them and God
used Jackie to write this book to remind us that He truly is the
same, yesterday, today and forever. Jackie and her husband Jerome,
live in Southern California.
