American romantic drama directed by Shana Feste and starring Alex Pettyfer and Gabriella Wilde. The film follows the story of David Axelrod (Pettyfer) and Jade Butterfield (Wilde), a young couple who begin a passionate and heady relationship much to the chagrin of Jade's wealthy mother and father (Joely Richardson and Bruce Greenwood). Determined to find some dirt on his daughter's new squeeze, Hugh Butterfield investigates the young man's past and it isn't long before he finds he has a less than admirable background. Can the young lovers' relationship bear the attempts to split them up?
Roland Emmerich directs this political thriller based around the notion that William Shakespeare was not in fact the author of the canon of plays attributed to him. In Elizabethan England, political intrigue abounds as the Tudors and the Cecils battle it out over the succession of Queen Elizabeth I (Joely Richardson/Vanessa Redgrave), and the Essex Rebellion mobilises against her. Enter the dashing and wildly talented Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford (Jamie Campbell Bower/Rhys Ifans), who not only fathers an illegitimate son in a clandestine incestuous relationship with Queen Elizabeth, but is also the secret author of the plays labeled with the name of William Shakespeare (Rafe Spall).
Sci-fi drama about two children who develop strange powers after playing with some discarded toys. On a beach vacation near Seattle, Noah (Chris O'Neil) and Emma (Rhiannon Leigh Wryn) Wilder find a little box washed up on the shore. It contains a strange, pulsing stone and the pair deign to keep it a secret, sensing its unusual nature. Further examination reveals a collection of items in the box including what appears to be a toy rabbit whose name turns out to be Mimzy and who is perfectly able to communicate with the children. Mimzy starts to instruct the children on many things that they're not familiar with, resulting in the pair attaining genius level very quickly, much to their parents' chagrin. It soon becomes apparent that there are forces abroad in the Wilder house that should have been left undisturbed - and that the future may be trying to send a message back to us in order that we might save our planet from a certain doom. After a huge power surge, originating in the Wilder home, takes out half the state power grid, the government begins to take an interest in the children.
