R1,409 Discovery Miles 14 090 Ships in 12 - 17 working days

This book constitutes revised selected papers from the refereed proceedings of the 7th International Symposium on Algorithmic Aspects of Cloud Computing, ALGOCLOUD 2022, which took place in Potsdam, Germany, on  September 6, 2022. The 6 full papers included in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 16 submissions. They were organized in topical sections as follows: Cloud-Based Urban Mobility Services; New Results in Priority-Based Bin Packing; More Sparking Soundex-based Privacy-Preserving Record Linkage and Privacy Preserving Queries of Shortest Path Distances.

R1,469 Discovery Miles 14 690 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Ad Hoc Networks, ADHOCNETS 2020, held in Paris in November 2020. The conference was held virtually due to COVID-19 pandemic. The 19 full papers were selected from 36 submissions covers a variety of network paradigms including mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), wireless sensor networks (WSNs), vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), airborne networks, underwater networks, underground networks, personal area networks, and home networks. It promises a wide range of applications in civilian, commercial, and military areas.

Stateful intrusion detection in high-speed networks (Paperback): Luca Foschini Stateful intrusion detection in high-speed networks (Paperback)

R1,224 Discovery Miles 12 240 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

The present work is aimed to develop and analyze a novel model for distributed stateful intrusion detection able to scale in order to keep up with the pace of high speed network links. More precisely, in this work we make the following contributions: - We introduce a novel architecture for the distributed matching of stateful network-based signatures. - We present a novel algorithm that allows for the detection of complex, stateful attacks in a distributed fashion. - We provide a precise characterization of the bottlenecks that are inherent to the distributed matching of stateful signatures in the most general case. - We developed optimizing to reduce the impact of these bottlenecks and improve the performance of distributed detection. - We describe a working, yet demonstrative implementation of the system based on the Snort intrusion detection engine - We provide an evaluation of the implemented system on a real-world testbed
