The book brings out an encyclopaedic picture of the potential areas of transformative Indian agriculture through innovations in science, technology, institutional and policy affairs directed in building a self-reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat). The book has addressed the challenges to make India free from hunger, poverty and undernutrition, and suggested interventions with focus on all-inclusiveness and sustainability, peace and prosperity, and resilience to climate and other volatilities. Most of these propositions are analogous to the Sustainable Development Goals - Agenda 2030, which India has committed to achieve. Sexual harassment, often known as eve teasing, is a regular occurrence for the women and girls of Bangladesh. Harassment can take a variety of forms and the perpetrators come from multiple walks of life, they are rich and poor, educated and uneducated, teenage boys, rickshaw pullers, bus drivers, street vendors, traffic police and often supervisors or colleagues of the working women. The study was conducted on 120 respondents through survey method. Data were collected from May 2011. The survey collected self-reported data on sexual harassment of 120 girls aged 13-19 years selected randomly. Results reveal that 65 percent of the girls facing sexual harassment everyday, unwanted sexual Offer in Love by 20.8 percent and sexual Threat 4.1 percent yielding prevalence of sexual harassment of any type 64.9 percent everyday. Most of the respondents blame the social system such as education, unemployment etc which are the basic causes of sexual harassment and the study recommended that the change of the social system is necessary for holdup of the immorality (sexual harassment) from the society.

Internet has made the world become so close to each other and people are now exposed to every kind of information. Well why not, today the best way to advertise or share is internet. But it has its own drawbacks, the fear of copying and clam of ownership. This has made users reluctant to share there own digital work on internet.Works such as songs, movies, pictures, books, and magazines can be made available for immediate download. While the digital domain in the general sense has made it much easier for authors and legitimate distributors of multimedia works to create, manipulate, distribute and archive their property, it has also complicated the matter of copyright enforcement. Digital watermarking attempts to encode a logo (image) into a digital data to provide a means by which legitimate copies can be identified. Digital watermarking is an effective solution to prevent duplication illegally, to enforce IP rights and distribution of multimedia data.

Public pension is one of the largest social security programmes for Government personnel. In the annual budget of 2010-2011 fiscal years, a total sum of BDT 39651 Million had been allocated for pension in public service;it was nearly 3 per cent of the total budget allocation and over 4.62 per cent of non-development expenditure (Annual Budget 2010-2011).According to latest available government estimates, the total number of public employees working in various ministries, divisions, departments, directorates, autonomous bodies and corporations of Bangladesh government was estimated to be 9,32,050(BBS-2005).Corruption is the receiving burning issue in the present states of the World.Actually the last two decades, it had invented as the great social curse, especially for developing country like Bangladesh. Relatively a huge number of populations who came from different parts of India mainly from Bihar after the partition of the sub-continent(Ahmed,2003)in 1947 and settled in Bangladesh and opposed the liberation war of Bangladesh in 1971 are known as Bihari, a stateless community, artificial minority or stranded Pakistanis.The Bihari community in Bangladesh attracted much attention after the independence of Bangladesh and many scholars and development practitioners studied extensively on different aspects of the community.The Bihari community in Bangladesh is deprived of all rights.They could hardly manage jobs for themselves, which reflected their economic insecurity and food insecurity as well.Inadequate medical facilities in the camps indicated their insecurity of health, thereby becoming vulnerable to various diseases and poor health with debilitating illness.Study was conducted on the Bihari community at Khalishpur camp in Khulna district.For conducting this study,12 case studies and two FGDs were used. Study mainly focused on the livelihood pattern of the targeted targeted community.Based on the major findings, study concluded with some recommendations to overcome the problems.

The purpose of this research was to find out the nature of health hazards caused by river erosion and analysis patterns of economic and social adaptation among river-bank erosion-induced displaces in Dacope Upazila under Khulna District of Bangladesh.The need to integrate hazard analysis and mitigation with the broader economic and social context is discussed.It is argued that the capacity of people to respond to environmental threats is a function of not only the physical forces which affect them, but also of underlying economic and social relationships which increase human vulnerability to risk.People are very vulnerable in the study area owing to river erosion.In the study area, nearly every one of the respondents (91.67%) were ill health the greater part of the people (65.8%)collected drinking water from the ponds. large amount (79.2%) were victim of Diarrhea and Dysentery, half of the population (39.2%)were Illiterate (30.8%) were involved in daily labour, (46.67%) possessed income range between BDT 1001 to 2000.So time has come, a new era has begun, we have to address problems, faced by the victims of river erosion and have to take proper initiatives for their developm

Twenty first century will be the century of knowledge where innovation will be the key for the production as for well as processing of knowledge. It is well recognized that in coming times, sustained competitive advantage will depend essentially on the ability of organizations to create, manage and market value-added, knowledge-based or intellectual assets to derive "first in the market" advantage. In spite of 1994 TRIPS agreement, the provision of technology transfer to the least developed countries has scarcely been translated into action resulting in an adverse impact on the pace of their development. The need of the hour is to have a closer look at the existing Knowledge Sharing and IP framework with an objective of rationalizing the same in the context of the developing countries. The present volume, which is a select compilation of peer reviewed papers at the recently held International Conference on "Knowledge Sharing and IP Management: Evolving Strategies in Asia-Pacific" at IIT Roorkee, India displays an attempt towards assessment of the existing framework and addressing the concern of the Asia-Pacific region keeping in mind its socio-economic and cultural condition.
