In The Earth Trembles, the author and grandson, Roberto Alonso discusses the biography of Angelina Blanco. He tells of her homeland, Spain, and her immigration to Cuba. He describes how he first discovered what she could do and his acceptance of her gifts. Not only could she foretell events and communicate with the deceased but also their guides. The letters of dictation taking during the sessions tell of how human beings came to earth and the development of all things. As a witness, Roberto tells the story of those sessions he attended and how they changed his view of the blue marble called earth. He learned to trust what she said and did. She was instrumental in saving his family from the tyranny of Fidel Castro. Roberto Alonso was employed in the aerospace field for fifteen years. The major part of both the research and the writing itself was done while employed in this field. Even when he became ill, work on this book was never neglected. Roberto gives much of the credit for the successful execution of this immense project to the huge collection of all the letters that had been dictated in Spanish by Angelina's daughter, Iris Alonso from which he translated to English.
