The whole world loves stories. This book is a collection of narrative sermon stories (parables) that inspire and teach and cause the reader to think about spiritual and life issues. The author, Steven Schafer, has spent decades teaching spiritual truths to hundreds of people. The book contains three story series' which he has presented to his congregation.

"Plain Stories" is a series of short stories set in the fictional town of Plain, Ohio. The stories attempt to teach and inspire the reader to a higher level of Christian living and understanding. Included in the book are numerous other "story sermons" including a series titled the Kristoff Yerushaliim stories. This second series focuses on a Christ-like character in modern times. The reader will be drawn into his life and see what the world would be like if Jesus were physically alive in our society today. Schafer has been telling stories to his congregation for more than a decade and has mastered the story tellers ability to captivate the listener/reader.
