When you pour in the milk, the bottom of the bag immediately expands so that it may be stored upright in your fridge or freezer. These silicone valves fit in the bottom of your flange, between the flange and the milk collection bottle. They play a crucial role in maintaining your pump’s suction. A small tear in valve may lead to your pump losing suction. For this reason they should ideally be replaced every 3 months.
