Tradition would have imposed the presence of ornaments on the component's surface, but Marcel Wanders had inverted this rule dressing up (as the collection's name suggests) with precious embellishments the external and most hidden part of the objects. The decorative motif of the Dressed flatware collection is an introverted formal pattern, an elegance worn discreetly. The relief pattern used in the Alessi dinnerware collection by the same name appears on the underside of the handles of fork and spoon and on one side of the knife handle.
