A lighthearted look at the world of Dinosaurs beautifully
illustrated to delight the heart of children of all ages. Raptors,
Antarctic Dinosaurs to Argentinean dinosaurs, parents will enjoy
sharing this delightful book with their children.
During the height of the Jurassic period, 150 million years ago,
giant dinosaurs strode the Earth and made the ground shake under
their mighty footfalls. You've probably seen these spectacular
long-necked dinosaurs in movies like Jurassic Park and in paintings
and drawings in natural history books. These creatures go by the
name of Apatosaurus (though you've probably heard of them as
Brontosaurus, too, since that was their name for many years, and a
few people still use it). In this book, you'll learn all about what
made this massive giant great--from what they looked like and ate
to where they lived and what they did all day. KidCaps is an
imprint of BookCaps; each month we are adding more history books
(just for kids ) to our library. Stop by our website to learn more.
Dinosaurs were probably the most amazing creatures to have ever
walked on the surface of our planet Earth They came in all kinds of
shapes and sizes. Some dinosaurs grew to be larger than a school
bus, while others were only the size of a cat. Some had huge heads
with a mouth full of giant teeth for eating the flesh of other
dinosaurs, while others sported very long necks for eating the
leaves from the tops of the tallest trees. Other dinosaurs were
covered in a bony type of natural armor for protection. Finally you
may be amazed to learn that some dinosaurs may have been covered
with feathers In book 4 of the Dinosaur Books for Kids series
called "55 Funky Facts about Dinosaurs," you will learn just how
truly amazing the dinosaurs really were by discovering the answers
to question such as: How Many Different Kinds Of Dinosaurs Where
There? Which Dinosaurs Have Been Found In The Most Places In The
World? Which Dinosaur Had The Largest Teeth? Which Was The Smallest
Of The Dinosaurs? Which Dinosaur Could Run The Fastest? And 50 more
funky facts about dinosaurs, including some terrific pictures of
what we believe these dinosaurs may have actually looked like based
on recent scientific research and fossil remains. So let's get
started on our journey to discover "55 Funky Facts about Dinosaurs"

Movies have capitalized on dinosaurs for years; they've often put
the wrong idea in people's heads about what they looked like or
even acted like. Dinosaurs that have been tower in height on
screen, are often smaller (and sometimes larger) than what we have
been led to believe; this book paints a picture of six of the most
famous dinosaurs who have roamed the Earth. In this book, you'll
learn all about what made this massive giant great--from what they
looked like and ate to where they lived and what they did all day.
The book covers the following dinosaurs: Tyrannosaurus Rex,
Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Apatosaurus, Diplodocus, Velociraptor
This is an anthology of six books; each book may also be purchased
individually. Just search the dinosaurs name and "KidsCap." KidCaps

Over a hundred and fifty million years ago - a span of time so big
that it's 30,000 times longer than all of recorded human history -
giant animals walked the world. These huge beasts were both
plant-eaters and meat-eaters, and there was a whole ecosystem with
enormous animals in it. In this book, you'll learn all about what
made this massive giant great--from what they looked like and ate
to where they lived and what they did all day. KidCaps is an

Here is the story of Ice Age beasts as told from the unique
perspective of Maisie the woolly mammoth. Maisie's Ice Age 'who's
who' reveals the defining characteristics of some of the most
memorable creatures from prehistoric times. Maisie's memoir
includes tales about Stella the sabre-toothed tiger, the golden
girl of the Ice Age, whose megawatt smile contained 25 cm canines;
the villain we all love to hate, Trevor the Titanoboa, a 13 m
mega-snake who could swallow a crocodile whole; and the slightly
more camera-shy Gavin the Giant Ape, who is rumoured to have
inspired the myth of the Yeti! Featuring the quirky illustrations
of Rob Hodgson, Maisie Mammoth's Memoirs stands apart from other
prehistoric beast titles with its characterful creatures and
humorous approach to palaeontology based on some of the latest
scientific research - look out for tips on how to defrost a woolly
mammoth! It is the second in a series that brings animals from the
distant past alive for young children.
This book is meant for ages 8+ years. Pachyrhinosaurus, one of the
rarest, least understood horned dinosaurs, lived during the second
half of the Cretaceous Period, the last period in the
150-million-year age of Dinosaurs. Pachyrhinosaurus was different
in a striking way. Instead of the sweeping lances found on fossil
Triceratops and Centrosaurus faces, gnarly platforms of bone
covered Pachyrhinosaurus' nose and eyebrows. These bony fossil
shields gave the dinosaur its name: Pachyrhinosaurus means
'thick-nose reptile'."Pachyrhinosaurus", the third book in the
Royal Tyrrell Museum's Discoveries in Palaeontology series, follows
two separate stories. The first is of the discovery of
Pachyrhinosaurus fossils at Pipestone Creek in northwestern
Alberta. The second is the story of a single Pachyrhinosaurus herd
and the events that led to its abrupt demise 76 million years ago.
Each story is compellingly told and accompanied by colour
illustrations throughout. "The Discoveries in Palaeontology" series
includes "Albertosaurus", which explores the life of a distant
cousin of the ferocious predator Tyrannosaurus Rex, and
"Ornithomimus", which is about a small, toothless theropod that
resembled an ostrich and is believed to have given rise to birds.
There are many books on dinosaurs but this one is special. It is
the only book at this age level that teaches the classification of
dinosaurs. How is Tyrannosaurus different from a Stegosaurus? What
criteria do scientists use to put dinosaurs in separate groups?
