A very long time ago Odin unlocked the secrets of the Runes. In two parts, Secrets of Asgard discusses their theoretical and a practical aspects. Part one focusses centres on the meaning of the individual runes and the myths, esplaining the Aettir alongside Northern mythology. It describes each of the gods as well as the Nine Worlds etc. The second part centres on the application of the system, namely magic and divinatio and includes rituals and exercises. A thesis of practical rune magic is developed which is based on the Havamal 144 stanza. The analysis concludes that the Runes were traditionally regarded as actual spirits.
