Romano, Alberti, Serlio, Palladio, Scamozzi and other thinkers and
humanists. Moreover, the essays illustrate the most famous examples
of hygienico-therapeutic villas, including Rotonda, La Rocca Pisana
and Eolia, a pneumatic model of Renaissance Venetian architecture.
