The population of the world was about 2 billion when I was born in 1921, and it is 6.5 billion this year (2006). With about 120 million now being added each year, the population of the world is expected to reach 7 billion by 2010.

The Earth simply cannot provide adequately for such gains We already are living beyond the Earth's ability to provide adequate food and other necessities for the present population. That is the basic message of this book and it will be bad news, especially for our children and grandchildren, if intelligent action is not begun now to face the ecological and other catastrophes that are on the way. If we do not face up to these converging catastrophes a Dark Age will be upon us.

This book's uniqueness is not so much in the information it presents, because much of it is widely known and already of concern to many people. Its uniqueness is in presenting it as a package, with a message of urgency, and with the strong suggestion that a Limited World Government-with Education and Religion as crucial aids-is an avenue of solution for these global issues.
