Three generations of Yamaha's FJR1300 are covered in this new
manual from Haynes. The roots of the FJR can be traced back to 1984
when the FJ1100 was introduced, followed two years later by the
FJ1200. The model range has always been at the cutting edge of the
luxury tourer class and has a dedicated following of riders. One
feature of the AS model is Yamaha's Chip-Controlled Shift system, a
semi-automatic gearbox. Like an auto car has no clutch pedal, the
bike has no clutch lever.
