This 1949 book provides a fully illustrated description, from the
field, of all the Roman remains in Scotland north of the Antonine
Wall (i.e. the Forth Clyde line). It contains an introductory
chapter describing the various kinds of antiquities to be met with
in the course of the journey, and the methods of identification on
the ground and from the air.
