The British Archaeological Association Conference held at
Peterborough in 2015 provided a welcome opportunity for a new
analysis of the cathedral's architecture, sculpture and artistic
production, and a reassessment of the relationship between the
former abbey, the city and its institutions, and the Soke over
which it held sway. This ambitious volume casts new light on the
Roman occupation of the Nene valley, and the rich Anglo-Saxon
sculptural and manuscript context that preceded the construction of
the present cathedral, as well as exploring the vital Romanesque
tradition of the Soke and the essential contribution of the Barnack
quarries. But inevitably the most exciting new disclosures concern
the church: its high-quality building campaigns during the 12th to
16th centuries, its abbots' tombs and the reconstruction of the
lost 14th-century High Altar screen from descriptions and loose
fragments. Peterborough has attracted the attention of antiquarian
scholars since its sacking by Cromwell's men during the Civil War,
and as its secrets are gradually revealed it continues to stimulate
the historical imagination.

Why giving your partner more of what they want, will give you more
of what you need If he would just help me more, I wouldn't be so
irritable.....If she would just stop nagging me and telling me what
to do I would probably help her more..." "If he gave me more
romance and affection I would give him more sex...If she gave me
more sex I'd give her more romance and affection..." "Why should I
make an effort when he/she isn't giving me what I want?" In a
ground breaking approach to solving relationship issues, "What's in
it for me?" shows you how everyone is on a journey to pursue
pleasure and avoid pain, not just physically, but emotionally too.
Behind every decision we make and action we take, we are all asking
ourselves the question: 'what's in it for me?' The unknown secret
most successful couples hold is a deeper understanding of how the
'what's in it for me' factor contributes to relationship conflict
and how to use this knowledge to solve arguments and let go of
resentment. "What's in it for me?" will teach you how to get inside
yours and your partner's head to understand how both of you think
and to understand the beliefs that drive you to behave or act the
way you do. With this in depth understanding you will very clearly
see that in order to get more of what you want in your
relationship, you have to give your partner more of what they need.
It's the highroad less traveled and goes against everything you
want to do when faced with conflict but 'what's in it for me'
promises to enlighten you to the reality of the true thinking
behind relationship conflict and how to use this information to
communicate, negotiate, and compromise more effectively. The answer
to relationship success is not to give up or give in - It's to GIVE
MORE.

"I don't know who I am anymore" is the catchcry of many parents
struggling to adjust to life with children. What part of yourself
do you feel you've lost? Why is it so important for you to be that
person? And what do you think it means about you that you can't
play that role anymore? Finding your lost identity and discovering
your personal peace will answer all these questions and more
because this is not 'just another book' promoting time out as the
answer to lost identity. Your brain loves to identify with the
past. Past life experiences have taught you to attach your identity
to a picture of how life is supposed to look in order for your life
to be valuable. Feeling lost is just your mind's way of saying it
has lost its ability to play out roles you have come to believe
define your worth. Finding your lost identity and discovering your
personal peace will take you on a journey into the inner workings
of your mind to discover the root cause of why you are feeling so
lost. You will learn how to readjust your mind to the present
reality of this new phase of life, let go of the past and adopt an
accurate understanding of self-worth, self-esteem, self-confidence,
self-respect and a whole new personal identity to live from. If you
feel lost and don't know who you are anymore, that's fantastic
Because this book is not going to help you to find your identity
again. It's going to help you to completely redesign it and
discover your personal peace.
Time Management is not about time. It is about CHOICE and FOCUS.
'What do I want?' is an important question we don't often ask
ourselves because we are often too busy dealing with what we're NOT
getting. This book will help you to FOCUS on what you want and how
to get it. 'Why aren't I already getting what I want?' is an
equally important question because its answer unlocks the key to
what is driving your CHOICES on how to currently spend your time
and how your thinking is stopping you from living the life that you
want. A Parent's Guide to Balance and getting more YOU time is not
like any other traditional time management book. This book
approaches the issue of time management at a grass roots level
first by addressing how you think about your time and a deeper
understanding of what drives your priorities. Then it will teach
you the practical tools required to organise your time and give you
a plan of how to fit all of your hectic tasks into a schedule. By
the end of this book you will feel that ALL areas of your life are
getting adequate attention (including yourself) and that your
schedule will align with what you want and what you consider as
important to you.
Have you become one of 'those' parents who just can't seem to keep
your cool? You know - that parent you swore you'd never be.
Completely over backchat, sibling rivalry, kids not listening and
an endless list of frustrating childhood moments, thousands of
parents shamefully resort to the habit of yelling at their children
to get results. Soon after, comes parental guilt, the fear of
'messing up your child's life' and the feeling of being a lousy
parent. However all of that need not happen anymore. Jackie Hall,
Author of The Happy Mum Handbook and parenting life coach who
specialises in teaching parents how to raise children stress-free,
brings to you: The 28day scream-free parenting challenge. Based on
the premise that it takes 21 days to break a habit and an extra
seven days to reinforce the new habit (to be scream-free) this book
will progressively teach you to understand the thinking behind your
anger and frustrations, and learn how to adopt a different mindset
when approaching the challenges of being a parent. "The 28 day
scream-free challenge is definitely a challenge but it's been
totally worth it for me. There are no failures or ridicule, only
Jackie's awesome information and suggestions. A great tool for
anyone whose goal is to become scream- free " Katie - mum of 2,
