Hitchcock (2012)
Anthony Hopkins stars as the legendary director in this biopic that chronicles the personal and professional relationship between Hitchcock and his wife Alma Reville (Helen Mirren) during the making of his 1960 classic 'Psycho'. It's 1959 and, increasingly worried about his relevance, Hitchcock decides a change of direction is what is needed. He settles on adapting Robert Bloch's true crime novel 'Psycho', despite the protestations of both Alma and Paramount President Barney Balaban (Richard Portnow). Having to mortgage their house to pay for the film, Alma's initial opposition soon gives way to support, as she dutifully throws herself fully behind the project. But as her husband begins to indulge himself in his trademark flights of fancy with a variety of blonde stars, Alma, whilst trying to keep the marriage on the rails, is determined that her own needs take centre stage.

However, when terrorists take over the airport in an attempt to rescue dictator Esperanza (Franco Nero) from his incoming flight, it is up to McClane to restore order and ensure that Holly's plane lands safely. Get that sweaty vest out, and put some shoes on this time. In 'Die Hard with a Vengeance' John McClane becomes involved in a twisted game of Simon Says when an evil terrorist (Jeremy Irons) sends him dashing all over the city in an effort to find a series of explosive devices. Teaming up with electrician Zeus Carver (Samuel L. Jackson), McClane soon discovers that the bombs are an elaborate ruse intended to provide cover for a billion dollar bank job. Finally, 'Die Hard 4.0' (2007) finds McClane routinely asked to bring in a computer hacker, Matt Farrell (Justin Long) for questioning. In transit, events overtake them as they witness a full-scale cyber attack on the country's infrastructure led by mystery attacker Thomas Gabriel (Timothy Oliphant), who plans to systematically shut down or destroy the nation's major networks over three days. With time running out, McClane and his hacker friend have to stop the mastermind before it's too late.

A double-bill of sci-fi horror. In John Carpenter's 'The Thing' (1982), a research team in the Antarctic, led by R.J. MacReady (Kurt Russell), discovers a spaceship buried beneath the ice, and becomes terrorised by the shape-changing monster that is housed within. In the 2011 prequel, the action is set on a research site in Antarctica three days before the action of the original story, the film focusing on the Norwegian camps that were the initial target of the alien invasion. When they discover an alien spacecraft on the site, science graduate Kate Lloyd (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and experienced researcher Dr Sander Halvorson (Ulrich Thomsen) disagree about how to act. When Dr Halvorson refuses to abandon his research, Kate teams up with tough Vietnam veteran Sam Carter (Joel Edgerton) to pursue the alien intruders by helicopter.

He's back! But this time with a new director and cast. Ten years on from the last sequel finds John Connor (Nick Stahl) living on the streets and his mother, Sarah, long since dead. Their efforts to prevent Judgement Day were futile, although Connor does not know this, and once again he is the target of Terminators from the future. This time his enemy is female (Kristianna Loken) and even more powerful than her predecessors. However, the resistance sends another robot (Arnold Schwarzenegger) back from the future to help keep Connor, and his future wife, alive.

Blake Lively stars in this thriller directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. When experienced surfer Nancy Adams (Lively) goes against all surfing protocol and takes to the waves alone, the peaceful serenity of the water around her quickly changes as she gets attacked by a hungry great white shark. As she frantically tries to swim away, she manages to climb onto a large rock just 200 yards from shore, but she soon comes to realise that she is in the middle of the shark's feeding ground and is unable to move from the rock. Will she able to distract the shark and swim back to shore?

Sci-fi drama directed by Phillip Noyce and starring Jeff Bridges, Meryl Streep and Brenton Thwaites. Set in a seemingly utopian future where all war, emotion and personal freedom have been eradicated, the film follows Jonas (Thwaites), a young man who is chosen to be the recipient of the community's collective memories. As he learns the details of the community's history from The Giver (Bridges), he grows frustrated with the power those in charge hold over his fellow citizens and the terrible price they have been forced to pay in exchange for conformity and peace...

Wes Craven's smash hit horror trilogy is a post-modern take on the slasher cycle of the late Seventies and early Eighties, which included the director's own 'A Nightmare on Elm Street'. In 'Scream' (1996), a psychotic freak with a love of horror flicks murders teenager Casey Becker (Drew Barrymore) in the small American town of Woodsboro. The killer then begins terrorising Casey's classmate, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), whose mother was murdered a year earlier. When Sidney encounters the stalker and escapes, her boyfriend Billy (Skeet Ulrich) is arrested. However, the phone calls and killings continue. The sequel, 'Scream 2' (1997), takes place a year on from the events of the first film. Survivors Sidney Prescott and Randy Meeks (Jamie Kennedy) are now students at the same college. A movie based on the Woodsboro murders, 'Stab', sparks off a series of copycat killings, and soon the nightmare is beginning all over again. While Sidney wonders who she can really trust, Randy teams up with former police deputy Dewey (David Arquette), still recovering from the effects of his stabbing the first time round, to work out the rules of a real-life horror sequel. One thing's for sure: the body count has to be higher. Also back on the scene are reporter Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox Arquette), who has successfully published her own account of the original killings - sacrificing her romance with Dewey in the process - and Cotton Weary (Liev Schreiber), the man Sidney had wrongfully imprisoned for her mother's murder. The third and final instalment is 'Scream 3' (2000). When talk show host Cotton Weary - the man once wrongly suspected of carrying out the first of the notorious Woodsboro killings - is himself murdered by a masked figure, plenty of free publicity is provided for 'Stab 3 - Return to Woodsboro', the third in a series of films based around the real-life events. When two of the film's cast are also murdered production is called to a halt, and the three remaining Woodsboro survivors - recluse Sidney Prescott, television reporter Gale Weathers and fomer police deputy Dewey Riley - join forces to find the killer.

Drawn to modern-day Japan by the gratitude of a wealthy industrialist from his past who secretly covets his healing powers, Logan soon finds himself up against the deadly charms of a femme fatale known as 'The Viper' (Svetlana Khodchenkova), whilst having to confront samurai steel and lethal ninjas as his destiny draws him towards a winner-takes-all battle with his ultimate foe, 'The Silver Samurai' (Will Yun Lee).
