The volume presents papers on vocational education, project-based learning and science didactic approaches, illustrating with sample cases, and with a special focus on Central Asian states. Thematically embedded in the area of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET), the book examines the following main topics: project-based learning (PBL), specific didactics with a linkage to food technologies and laboratory didactics, media and new technologies in TVET, evaluation of competencies including aspects of measurement, examination issues, and labour market and private sector issues in TVET, and research methods with a focus on empirical research and the role of scientific networks. It presents outcomes from TVET programmes at various universities, colleges, and teacher training institutes in Central Asia.

This book presents recent research on interactive collaborative learning. We are currently witnessing a significant transformation in the development of education and especially post-secondary education. To face these challenges, higher education has to find innovative ways to quickly respond to these new needs. On the one hand, there is a pressure by the new situation in regard to the COVID pandemic. On the other hand, the methods and organizational forms of teaching and learning at higher educational institutions have changed rapidly in recent months. Scientifically based statements as well as excellent experiences (best practice) are absolutely necessary. These were the aims connected with the 24th International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Learning (ICL2021), which was held online by Technische Universitat Dresden, Germany, on 22-24 September 2021. In this laboratory "cook-book," the authors provide a concise guide to PCR-based techniques to quantify nucleic acids in biological and clinical samples using exclusively nonradioactive detection methods, e.g. HPLC, biotin and digoxigenin based protocols. Die Bedeutung der Aussenwirtschaftslehre wachst, je mehr die Globalisierung und damit der internationale Handel und Kapitalverkehr zunehmen. In diesem Lern- und UEbungsbuch geht es darum, sich die notwendigen Kenntnisse von den internationalen Wirtschaftsbeziehungen aktiv zu erarbeiten. Dazu wird der relevante Stoff im Rahmen von Repetitorien knapp und deutlich zusammengefasst und dann anhand von Fragestellungen mit ausfuhrlichen Musterloesungen aufbereitet. Modelltheoretische Zusammenhange werden weitgehend in verbal-grafischer Form erlautert. Das Spektrum reicht von einfuhrenden Aufgaben fur das Breitenstudium bis hin zu anspruchsvolleren Themen aus dem Schwerpunktbereich. Im Mittelpunkt der Monografie steht der Einfluss computervermittelter Kommunikation auf das Selbst ihrer Nutzer. Der Autor geht der Frage nach, wie sich "Soziales" in dieser Art durch Kommunikation entwickelt. Hierzu gibt es eine Reihe lebhafter Spekulationen, die nicht selten in Frage stellen, ob das Selbst unter quasi "asozialen" Bedingungen uberhaupt "erzeugt" werden kann. Schliesslich zeichnet sich die soziale Situation in der computervermittelten Kommunikation durch ein Minimum moeglicher sozialer Reize aus. Den Rahmen dafur bildet die Vereinigung geeigneter spezialisierter Ansatze aus Kommunikationswissenschaft, Soziologie und Sozialpsychologie, die sich in ihrem Kern alle der computervermittelten Kommunikation zuwenden.

Aus dem anfanglich muhsamen und rein zweckgebundenen Umherreisen auf wenig komfortablen Pfaden ist eine machtige Industrie geworden, die das Reisen auf eine vollig andere Ebene brachte. Beinahe jeder Ort der Welt ist heute vom Tourismus erschlossen, zuganglich gemacht und zu einem Ziel geworden, das man gesehen und erlebt haben muss - glaubt man den unwiderstehlichen Bildern und Berichten in all den Reisekatalogen und Reisefuhrern dieser Welt. Auf Grund seiner Komplexitat und vielfaltigen Besonderheiten, die ihn von jeder anderen Form der Okonomie unterscheiden, entzog sich die touristische Aktivitat lange Zeit der wissenschaftlichen Betrachtung. Anfangs von der intellektuellen Schicht als Bedrohung ihrer privilegierten Reisegewohnheiten geschmaht, wurde der Tourismus, selbst als er schon lange das Leben und - viel wichtiger - die Vorstellungen vieler Menschen beeinflusst hatte und mitgestaltete, kaum als bedeutendes soziales und kulturelles Phanomen wahrgenommen. Die Analyse seiner Funktionsweise und Entwicklungsgeschichte begann erst in der zweiten Halfte des 19. Jahrhunderts. In dieser Arbeit soll die touristische Reise untersucht werden. Dabei ist die Analyse solch einer Reise gleichzeitig eine Geschichte der Analyse des Tourismus selbst. Aus diesem Grund rankt sich diese Arbeit um die wichtigsten sozialwissenschaftlichen Ansatze zur Tourismusforschung, und verbindet diese miteinander. Daher steht jedes Kapitel sowohl fur eine Phase einer typischen Reise des Touristen, als auch fur einen Bestandteil in der Entwicklung des Tourismus
