Australian Flower Fairies Birthday Book Generations of children
have loved the English Flower Fairy Books - here now are their
Australian cousins. Twenty-six exquisitely detailed illustrations
by well-known artist Elizabeth Alger adorn this brightly coloured
book, featuring the Crimson Bottle-Brush Fairies, the Waterlily
Fairies, the Yellow Everlasting Daisy Fairies and more. Each
picture is accompanied by a verse, written by nature-inspired
gardener, artist and poet Margaret Thornton. Her three daughters
also contributed poems. The book contains pages for writing down
birthday dates of friends and family, to help you remember. It is
the companion volume to the Australian Flower Fairies Address Book,
the Notebook and the Diary.

A lovely collection of 32 fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm,
translated by L. L. Weedon. Tales are illustrated in black and
white by various illustrators including Ada Dennis, E. Stuart
Hardy, E. Nister, Arch Webb, G. H. Thompson and others. Pook Press
celebrates the great Golden Age of Illustration in children's
literature. Many of the earliest children's books, particularly
those dating back to the 1850s and before, are now extremely scarce
and increasingly expensive. Pook Press are working to republish
these classic works in high quality editions, using the original
text and artwork so these works can delight another generation of
children.

'The Lost Girl King echoes Lord of the Rings and Narnia, whilst
being original and fresh. It's sure to become a classic of its own'
- Aisha Bushby, author of A Pocketful of Stars 'A glorious gulp of
a summer adventure' - Piers Torday, author of The Lost Wild 'Nobody
writes peril, wit and wonder as well as Catherine Doyle ... a
modern Diana Wynne Jones' - Dave Rudden, author of Irish Children's
Book of the Year, Knights of the Borrowed Dark ********** From the
author of the bestselling Storm Keeper trilogy comes a new,
spellbinding adventure... Amy and Liam Bell have been packed off to
stay at Gran's house in the wilds of Connemara for the summer. Out
for a walk on the first morning of their holiday, they trace the
flight of a hawk to a nearby waterfall - only to watch the bird
disappear through it. Intrigued, the children follow and soon
realise they've discovered the entrance to Tir na nOg, the
legendary land of eternal youth. But they've been tricked. Almost
immediately Liam is captured by a troop of headless horsemen who
take him to Tarlock, the ruling sorcerer of Tir na nOg, who is
seeking the bones of a human child for a sinister new spell. Packed
with edge-of-your seat adventure, incredible imagination, humour
and warmth, The Lost Girl King is the rare kind of story that has
you reading long past lights out.
Set in the simpler days of the early 1970s, "And Still the Crows
Laugh" is the story of two friends who grow together through their
first loves, family difficulties, and their own inward journeys.
Through no conscious choices of their own, the boys confront
life-altering obstacles. David becomes lost in a world induced by
psychedelic drugs, and Ashton unknowingly becomes a member of a
clan of crows. With the help of an aged medicine woman, his own
recovered ancient memories, and his animal spirits, Ashton enters
the underworld and is able to save his friend.
David and Ashton get into mischief, solve mysteries, meet a
troll, fight monsters, and learn that things are not always what
they appear to be. But most importantly, they discover that life is
rarely black-and-white and that simply taking the time to listen to
the ancient truths they already know may just be the key they need
to find happiness.
Fairy tales are just the beginning. The Masked Man is on the loose
in the Land of Stories, and it's up to Alex and Conner Bailey to
stop him...except Alex has been thrown off the Fairy Council, and
no one will believe they're in danger. With only the help of the
ragtag group of Goldilocks, Jack, Red Riding Hood, and Mother Goose
and her gander, Lester, the Bailey twins discover the Masked Man's
secret scheme: He possesses a powerful magic potion that turns
every book it touches into a portal, and he is recruiting an army
of literature's greatest villains! So begins a race through the
magical Land of Oz, the fantastical world of Neverland, the madness
of Wonderland, and beyond. Can Alex and Conner catch up to the
Masked Man, or will they be one step behind until it's too late?
Fairy tales and classic stories collide in the fourth adventure in
the bestselling Land of Stories series as the twins travel beyond
the kingdoms!
A delightful collection of Aesop's Fables densely illustrated in
black and white by the humorous and delightful drawings of Nora

"A timely quest infused with magic." The Times, Children's Book of
the Week The hugely-anticipated, brand-new fairytale adventure from
Sophie Anderson, the bestselling author of The House with Chicken
Legs. The Island of Morovia is shaped like a broken heart. The
humans live on one side of the island, and the alkonosts - the
bird-people - live on the other. But it wasn't always this way...
Linnet wishes she could sing magic. But magic is forbidden and she
has been banished with her father to the Mournful Swamp. She misses
her old life, and dreams of reuniting with her friends. When her
father is captured for taking a precious jewel, Linnet must set out
on a treacherous journey. Travelling through alligator pools and
sinking sands with new friends, she learns how to be brave, and
discovers something even more powerful than singing magic.
Something that could save her father, and heal the broken heart of
her island once more... With themes of grief, trust, love, and that
we have more in common than that which divides us, this is a
heartfelt book filled with adventure and stunning storytelling from
bestselling Sophie Anderson.
