Part of a series of handy, luxurious Flame Tree Pocket Books.
Combining high-quality production with magnificent fine art, the
covers are printed on foil in five colours, embossed then foil
stamped. And they’re delightfully practical: a pocket at the back
for receipts and scraps, two bookmarks and a solid magnetic side
flap. These are perfect for personal use, handbags and make a
dazzling gift. This example features the famous and well-loved The
Kiss by Gustav Klimt. The Kiss is a prime example of Klimt's
'Golden Phase', in which he began to feature especially sumptuous
ornamentation on a regular basis in his paintings. The couple in
this artwork represent the mystical union of spiritual and erotic
love, and the connection of life and the universe.
This red version of the basic, yet classic Ruled Large notebook is
a stylish travel companion, perfect for writings, thoughts and
passing notes. Like its black best selling counterpart, it has a
cardboard bound cover with rounded corners, acid free paper, a
bookmark, an elastic closure and an expandable inner pocket that
contains the Moleskine history.

Ashmolean Museum: Chinese Embroidered Hanging with Peacock. The
peacock was emblematic not of glory but of compassion and care, and
so it would appear to be in this intricate hanging. What we might
expect to be its show-stealing splendour is almost upstaged by the
pure-white peonies, lilies and roses all around. The eyes of its
furled-up tail, though beautiful, blend into the background as
though they were another flower.

Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, then spending some
time in London developing a career in illustration, Clare Curtis
returned to her home town of Felixstowe in Suffolk to pursue her
love of printmaking. Chiefly a lino cutter but also producing
lithographs and screen prints, her work reflects her love of
British 20th century art and design, as well as plants and gardens.

Province' by Utagawa Hiroshige (1797–1858). Hiroshige was
a prolific artist, creating over 5,000 works in his lifetime. Here
he makes tribute to Hokusai's The Great Wave, off Kanagawa. The
hectic activity of the waves is offset by Mount Fuji's tranquility,
demonstrating Hiroshige's fascination with portraying the sensual
moods of a landscape.
Color has captivated artists, designers, scientists, and
philosophers for centuries. From early principles of color theory
to color wheels, great thinkers study and use color to explain and
illustrate their ideas. Color is a sketchbook with thick, blank
pages (140 gsm, ~95 lbs. paper weight) and a full-color appendix
with striking vintage illustrations from rare books on color
theory. The textured cover features a tipped-in color wheel.
Inspired and inspiring, this journal is the perfect jumping off

stars and swirling clouds. The view depicted is from his asylum
room at Saint-Remy-de-Provence.
