THE ARTIST. The Royal Pavilion, Brighton, was constructed as the seaside pleasure palace of King George IV. Queen Victoria visited the Pavilion on a number of occasions between 1837 and 1845. The hand-painted wallpaper in her bedroom was recently returned to the Pavilion from Buckingham Palace and restored.
