Removable varnish to protect both oil and acrylic paintings
On some of these surfaces it is recommended a basecoat of the
Polyurethane Primer (62.601) for best results. Premium colours are
flexible and exceptionally durable and permit prolonged exposure to
weather without fading or losing their brilliance. Premium colours
have been formulated with micronized, permanent pigments and an
extremely resistant, exterior grade hybrid resin-polyurethane base,
which withstands impacts, resists chipping and cracking, as well as
direct exposure to heat and outdoor elements without cracking or
fading, and is fuel residue proof up to a least 35% Nitro. AV
Premium colours have superior flow, they are self-levelling and
brush on with exceptional ease. For airbrushing, the colours can be
used directly from the bottle when using a nozzle size 0,3. For the
metallic colours some dilution might be necessary, and for smaller
nozzles (O.2mm or less) the use of the Reducer (62.068) may be
required. The recommended compressor setting is 30-60psi (2-4 bar).
The range consists of 20 bright opaque colours, 23 dazzling
metallics and fluorescents, and 9 shimmering transparent Candy
Colours. All colours are as suitable for detail work as for
covering large surfaces and can be applied by brush as well as by
airbrush. The range is complete with 8 auxiliary products including
the Transparent Basecoat and the Reducer, Primer, Varnishes and
Drying Retarder. For an automotive refinishing and as an extra
protective final coating, we recommend a catalyzed urethane clear
varnish (spray can or airbrush).
A final clear, non-yellowing varnish with a gloss finish for the protection of oil, alkyd, and acrylic paintings. Please be aware that there are restrictions on the shipping of aerosols.
* Low viscosity - very fluid.* Produces a matt finish* Does not
drastically reduce color depth as does matt Medium.* 100% acrylic
polymer varnish. Water soluble when wet. Good chemical and water
resistance when dry.* Dry to a non-tacky, hard, flexible surface
that is resistant to retention of dirt.* Resist discoloring
(non-yellowing, non-fogging) due to humidity, heat and ultraviolet
light.* Depending upon substrate, allows moisture to pass through
(breathable).* Will not crack as surface expands and contracts
during temperature and humidity changes. Applicable for any acrylic
painted surface (flexible and rigid) on canvas, paper, wood, stone,
Plexiglas, etc.* Not for use over oil paint.* Flexible, archival,
non-yellowing and water resistant when dry.* For interior and
exterior useApplication:* Apply as a final varnish over dry acrylic
paint.* Varnish surface and environment must be clean, dry and dust
free.* Acrylic paintings must be completely dried and cured for a
minimum 48-72 hours before varnishing.* Application may be done by
brush or spray. Generally a sprayed application will be thinner,
smoother and more even. Rolling or sponging application is not
recommended.* If more than 1 varnish coat is desired, apply 1-2
coats of Liquitex Gloss Varnish before applying a final coat of
Liquitex matt Varnish.* Caution: Acrylic paints and mediums become
increasingly brittle in cold weather. Do not apply below 60
degrees. Thinning: Do not thin, as it will weaken the varnish film
and adhesion. Removal: Not removable. Do not attempt to remove
these varnishes with harsh solvents. pdf=liqmatvar.pdf Liquitex

Specially developed for the protection of acrylic works from environmental pollutants which can cause surface degradation. Sealing the surface with varnish provides a barrier film which can be cleaned or removed using low odour solvent or turpentine, but leaves the paint itself unblemished.
Available in Gloss or Matt.Available in 75ml and 300ml.

A UV resistant gloss varnish which gives temporary protection to recently completed oil paintings. Quick drying. Ensure painting is touch dry. Use thinly. Do not use as a medium.
TotalCast Resin is an optically clear, high-gloss, hybrid polymer resin
system which is especially suitable for the protection and decoration
of artwork, paintings or sculptures as it provides a tough coating with
good abrasion resistance. It is easy to use because it cures at ambient
temperatures and is self-levelling. The resin is non-flammable,
odour-free and has no solvent content. It is also free of volatile
organic compounds (VOCs), is non-toxic and has non-yellowing
properties. It is perfect for use on all art surfaces including canvas,
wood, MDF and photographs, and can be used over acrylic, oil,
watercolour and enamel paint.
As with all resins, this is very sticky - we advise that you wear
disposable gloves while using the product.
This 500g kit consists of 250g of each component (Resin &
Hardener). The Mixing Ratio is 1 : 1
Please note, the mixing ratio must be accurately followed. It is not
possible to change the ratio. This would adversely affect the
mechanical properties of the resin and would lead to it not drying
properly. The mixture should be thoroughly stirred (mix for 3-4 mins)
to ensure full homogeneity. Polymer systems tend to heat up much faster
in a pot than as a thin film. Therefore mix only the necessary amount
usable within the given pot life.
A superior quality UV resistant artists; gloss varnish removable with Artists; White Spirit or Distilled Turpentine. Quick drying. Non-yellowing. Does not bloom or crack. Do not use until painting is completely dry (6-12 months). Do not use as a medium.
A clear varnish ideal for prints, maps, découpage and other
papercrafts.
The intensity of the gloss depends on the type of paper – the more
absorbent the paper the lower the gloss finish.
