This satin varnish is water-based, non-toxic and self-leveling. It
restores the painting to Atelier Interactive's original satin
finish and is one of the most popular finishes as it is not too
shiny or dull. It can be used either as a medium to change the
sheen levels of acrylic paints or as an over-varnish for acrylic
painting, providing a non-tacky protective coating. It is a
mid-viscosity product made from hard acrylic emulsion. The varnish
is non-removable, however it can be overpainted. It can also be
followed with a solvent-based varnish. This product is part of the
Atelier Traditional range. The Atelier Traditional painting range
allows you to use traditional acrylic techniques that have been
evolving since 1965. The Atelier Traditional mediums are made of an
acrylic binder that dries quickly and forms a tough water resistant
skin. You can combine the Atelier Interactive range and Atelier
Traditional range to create unique and interesting effects within
the same painting.
Low viscosity product made from a hard
acrylic emulsion. Can be used as an over-varnish for
Atelier Interactive and other traditional acrylic paints. To
use as a varnish over an Interactive painting seal with 2
coats of Fast Medium/Fixer before varnishing. It
is non-removable, however it can be over painted. The
acrylic varnish may be mixed with acrylics as a low viscosity
medium to change the sheen levels or to dilute for glazing.

this way. This product is part of the Atelier Traditional range. The

On some of these surfaces it is recommended a basecoat of the
Polyurethane Primer (62.601) for best results. Premium colours are
flexible and exceptionally durable and permit prolonged exposure to
weather without fading or losing their brilliance. Premium colours
have been formulated with micronized, permanent pigments and an
extremely resistant, exterior grade hybrid resin-polyurethane base,
which withstands impacts, resists chipping and cracking, as well as
direct exposure to heat and outdoor elements without cracking or
fading, and is fuel residue proof up to a least 35% Nitro. AV
Premium colours have superior flow, they are self-levelling and
brush on with exceptional ease. For airbrushing, the colours can be
used directly from the bottle when using a nozzle size 0,3. For the
metallic colours some dilution might be necessary, and for smaller
nozzles (O.2mm or less) the use of the Reducer (62.068) may be
required. The recommended compressor setting is 30-60psi (2-4 bar).
The range consists of 20 bright opaque colours, 23 dazzling
metallics and fluorescents, and 9 shimmering transparent Candy
Colours. All colours are as suitable for detail work as for
covering large surfaces and can be applied by brush as well as by
airbrush. The range is complete with 8 auxiliary products including
the Transparent Basecoat and the Reducer, Primer, Varnishes and
Drying Retarder. For an automotive refinishing and as an extra
protective final coating, we recommend a catalyzed urethane clear
varnish (spray can or airbrush).

A final fixative for watercolours. Protects water-colour paintings from fingerprints, humidity and dust. No colour changes when applied in thin layers. May increase transparency of water-colour paper.
How to use:
Shake well before use.
Spray at room temperature by moving the can from one side to the other and from top to bottom and holding the can at a distance of 30 - 40 cm from the vertically positioned or slightly inclined and completely dry object. (Make the change in spray direction away from the picture!)
The level of gloss depends in accordance to absorbance of the surface, painting technique and the thickness of the film. The subsequent fixing of the surface of a picture produced using materials low in binding agents like water-colours or gouache colors may cause the colour shade to become significantly darker. Using too much fixative frequently causes a loss of "lightness".
The product may also makes the support, for example the paper, more transparent. The fixative coats normally used in practice give no special UV protection to the paints used! For this reason, we recommend that you use high-quality and lightfast artists' paints from the outset as far as possible.
For the ideal protection of water-colour paintings we additionally recommend using special glass for frames.
Any clogged-up spray heads are best cleaned using acetone.
Store in a cool and dry place.
Protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C (122°F).
Individual pre-tests are required.
