Mit quantitativen Methoden analysiert der Autor Primardaten aus weltweit 105 Bauprojekten der Bereiche Wohnbau, Gewerbebau, Industriebau, Infrastruktur- und Wasserbau. Dabei wird dem Einfluss des projektbezogenen BIM-Reifegrades besondere Beachtung eingeraumt.
