This text provides an account of video art, and activism, practice
and theory. The follow-up to a project conducted by LACE (Los
Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions), this volume comprises original
articles by a variety of video artists, filmmakers and critical
theorists, covering topics from video pedagogy to emerging
technologies, video porn to Geraldo Rivera, lesbian representation
to the politics of video memory. The work examines a series of
relationships between politics, popular culture, artistic
intervention and social practices of the media.
