The authors critically investigate how contemporary paraconsistent logics can be used to better understand human reasoning in science and mathematics. Offering a variety of perspectives, they shed a new light on the question of whether paraconsistent logics can function as the underlying logics of inconsistent but useful scientific and mathematical theories. Forschungsarbeit aus dem Jahr 1979 im Fachbereich Ingenieurwissenschaften - Bergbau, Note: Sehr gut, Technische Universitat Berlin (Institut fur Angewandte Geophysik, Petrologie und Lagerstattenforschung), Sprache: Deutsch, Anmerkungen: Herausgeber Andreas Peters MSc., Abstract: Das Ziel dieser Arbeit, die Parameter der Uranlagerstatten/ -vorkommen qualitativ zu bestimmen, um ein Entscheidungsfeld zur Erleichterung der Auswahl von geeigneten Aufbereitungsverfahren fur bestimmte U-Vorkommen zu entwickeln, konnte damals von meinem Bruder mit dieser Arbeit nicht erreicht werden, da dazu die benotigten Angaben in der untersuchten und vorgelegenen Literatur fehlten. Durch die Bearbeitung der umfangreichen Literatur konnte er allerdings einen Uberblick uber U-Vorkommen/-lagerstatten sowie die zur damaligen Zeit bekannten Aufbereitungsverfahren zusammenstellen. Daraus entwickelte dann mein Bruder ein quantitatives Parameterformular, das sicherlich noch der Verbesserung bedarf. Fur weiterfuhrende Untersuchungen kann es jedoch sicherlich immer noch als Anhaltspunkt dienen. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit hat es sich desweiteren gezeigt, dass die Entstehungsprozesse der einzelnen Vorkommenstypen teilweise noch nicht geklart sind und waren. Die Arbeit weist darauf hin, dass in Hinblick auf die Durchdringung der Lagerstattenbildenden Vorgange- bei deren Kenntnis die Explorationstatigkeit wesentlich zielstrebiger ablaufen konnte - noch viel Arbeit zu leisten ist und war. Eine Schlussfolgerung dieser Arbeit war, dass sie auch fur die Aufbereitung nutzlich sein konnte und es zu prufen ware, ob sich nicht verstarkt naturliche Vorgange zur Urangewinnung nutzbar gemacht werden konnten (insbes. die bakteriologischen Prozesse und die organischen Adsorptionsvorgange). Eine detaillierte Auflistung der damals bekannten Lagerstatten und Uranvorkommen und den mit diesen zusammen auftretenden Edelmetallen, Erzen und seltenen Erden fuhrte diese Arbeit am Ende auf.

Ausgehend von der derzeitigen Diskussion um die Spitalsreformen in Osterreich und die Notwendigkeit, dass im Gesundheitssystem gespart werden muss, werden in diesem Buch zwei Operationsmethoden (Suburethralband und Deszensus-Operation unter Einsatz eines Meshes) aus der Urogynakologie unter dem Gesichtspunkt von Kosteneinsparungen durch die Verkurzung der stationaren Liegezeiten betrachtet. Da derzeitig in dem Bereich der Urogynakologie noch keine derartigen detaillierten Berechnungen zu Kosteneinsparungen vorliegen, wird hiermit von dem Autor ein erster Ansatz zu solchen Berechnungen und den zu erzielenden Kosteneinsparungen geliefert. Anhand von Vergleichen und Berechnungen, dargestellt in 98 Tabellen, konnte der Autor nachweisen, dass erhebliche Kosteneinsparungen durch eine Verkurzung der stationaren Liegezeiten bei diesen untersuchten Operationen zu erzielen sind. Allerdings mussen gleichzeitig im Gesundheitssystem Osterreichs strukturelle Veranderungen stattfinden, damit es zu diesen Einsparungspotentialen kommen kann. Vorschlage zu diesen strukturellen Veranderungen werden in diesem Buch unterbreitet.
