Full HD movie recording
The Optio WG2-GPS offers the Full HD movie recording function employing the H.264 recording format, allowing the user to capture high-quality, extended movie clips (1920 x 1080 pixels) at a frame rate of 30 frames per second. Thanks to the Macro Lights, the user can clearly see a magnified view of the microscopic world often unnoticeable with the naked eye on the camera’s LCD monitor and effortlessly capture it in eye-catching images. Its instant illumination enhance function, which automatically raises the illumination level of the LED Macro Lights at the moment of shutter release, has also been upgraded to minimize camera shake and subject shake. Advanced GPS function
The Optio WG2 GPS comes equipped with an upgraded GPS module. Not only does it shorten the time lag before the start of GPS operation, but it also greatly extends the operating life of the log function. This latter function automatically creates log data and stores it as a KML-format file onto an SD memory card by simply carrying the camera. The Optio WG-2 GPS allows the user to record position data when shooting still images and take advantage of various GPS-compatible applications and services provided by the included software and such Web sites as Google Maps™. It also corrects the built-in clock automatically to match local time of a particular shooting location. Thanks to the log function, the user can keep accurate track of the movement during outdoor shooting, and display it later on the computer using various online services such as Google Earth™.

Coupled with a new-generation imaging engine, this image sensor delivers a top sensitivity of ISO 6400 and super-high-resolution images with 16.0 effective megapixels. These models also provide advanced image processing functions made possible by the latest super-resolution technology to assure sharp and clear images. It even offers such innovative features as a Handheld Night Snap mode, which automatically captures four images of the same scene and produces a single blur-free, composite image from them.

Dual anti-shake protection for sharp, blur-free images
The WG-3’s dual shake reduction system combines an image-sensor-shift-type SR (Shake Reduction) mechanism with a Digital SR mode to more effectively compensate for the adverse effects of camera shake and subject shake in shake-prone conditions, such as when capturing poorly lit subject with ambient light only, or when shooting sunset scenes.

Classics are works that are immune to the passing whims of the present. They are never rewritten, but re-interpreted on the basis of a changed world. The analog Leica M7 is such a classic. Silver halide photography with a Leica M has a special appeal: the understandable process of exposing the film and the chemical processing of the same piece of material create an emotional relationship with the subject and the camera. Intuitive photography

As an alternative to the familiar manual method of exposure adjustment - which, of course, can still be used - the Leica M7 offers a convenient, continuously variable, aperture priority mode with an exposure lock via the shutter release. This allows you to focus easily, compose quickly and thus devote your full attention to taking the photograph.

Versatile exposure

With its range of intelligent features, the M7 gives you many options for picture composition. TTL flash exposure measurement takes the risk out of flash photography. Creative latitude is offered by synchronisation times down to 1/1000 s and flash synchronisation at the second shutter curtain. Viewfinder displays facilitate photography with long exposure times.

Work in comfort

Ergonomically located right next to the shutter release button, the ON/OFF button activates the electronics of the Leica M7 and also disables the shutter release when the camera is switched off. There is now a choice of either manual or automatic film speed setting (DX coding), eliminating the risk of annoying exposure errors due to wrong ISO settings. The stepless aperture priority mode ensures reliable and precise exposure. And a system that is unique for rangefinder cameras gives a clearly legible display of all the information in the viewfinder of the Leica M7 - even in critical side light.
