the poems to be more fun, inspirational, and soul searching. The

a new way of life. Come on get on board and take a gossamer journey
into the unknown. Be open to new ways of life and don't put a
period at the end of a sentence but just do a colon to continue on
with life. Life is infinite and not finite.

A chilling tale from storyteller Ethan Crownberry. What gives you
the willies? Strange noises? Creepy shadows? The feeling you are
being watched? For a 12-year-old boy lost on Halloween night, it is
all of these things and more. Join him on his adventure home as he
encounters one hair-raising experience after another. Then, decide
for yourself. Are the Willies just something we feel? Or are they
actually little monsters that love to torment us when we are at our
most vulnerable? Ethan Crownberry has done it again in this
spine-tingling masterpiece.
A profound version of the theme of self discovery, this novel explores the thoughts and experiences of a Ghanaian girl on her travels in Europe.
Australia 1789. A young married lieutenant is directing rehearsals
of the first play ever to be staged in that country. With only two
copies of the text, a cast of convicts, and one leading lady who
may be about to be hanged, conditions are hardly ideal... Winner of
the Laurence Olivier Play of the Year Award in 1988, and many other
major awards, Our Country's Good premiered at the Royal Court
Theatre, London, in 1988 and opened on Broadway in 1991. 'Rarely
has the redemptive, transcendental power of theatre been argued
with such eloquence and passion.' Georgina Brown, Independent It is
published here in a new Student Edition, alongside commentary and
notes by Sophie Bush. The commentary includes a chronology of the
play and the playwright's life and work as well as discussion of
the social, political, cultural and economic context in which the
play was originally conceived and created.

A poetic tribute to the victims of the racially motivated church
bombing that served as a seminal event in the struggle for civil
rights. In 1963, the eyes of the world were on Birmingham, Alabama,
a flashpoint for the civil rights movement. Birmingham was one of
the most segregated cities in the United States. Civil rights
demonstrators were met with police dogs and water cannons. On
Sunday, September 15, 1963, members of the Ku Klux Klan planted
sticks of dynamite at the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church, which
served as a meeting place for civil rights organizers. The
explosion killed four little girls. Their murders shocked the
nation and turned the tide in the struggle for equality. A Jane
Addams Children's Honor Book, here is a book that captures the
heartbreak of that day, as seen through the eyes of a fictional
witness. Archival photographs with poignant text written in free
verse offer a powerful tribute to the young victims.
The bay owls came out of their house,
and they sat on the tree and waited.
A big branch for Sarah, a small branch for Percy,
and an old piece of ivy for Bill.
When three baby owls awake one night to find their mother gone,
they can't help but wonder where she is. Stunning illustrations
from unique and striking perspectives capture the owls as they
worry about their mother: What is she doing? When will she be back?
What scary things move all around them? Not surprisingly, a joyous
flapping and dancing and bouncing greets her return, lending a
celebratory tone to the ending of this comforting tale. Never has
the plight of young ones who miss their mother been so simply told
or so beautifully rendered.
