In recent years, the paranormal has gained new footing as
reality television has grabbed onto this research and created a
cultural frenzy around it. There are those who are skeptics, those
who believe, and those who seek to prove the existence of the
paranormal. In The Double-Blind Ghost Box, authors Shawn Taylor and
Daniel Morgan share their research and personal experiences with
the paranormal, focusing on the development and use of the ghost
box, a device that can establish a two-way communication beyond
death's veil.
The Double-Blind Ghost Box reviews the process of Taylor and
Morgan's studies of the device, along with how they determined its
usefulness in researching the paranormal. They explore the history
of the ghost box and the issues arising in today's ghost box
methods, and they offer methods for conducting an objective ghost
box investigation, processing ghost box evidence, analyzing the
findings, and presenting the results to clients. Taylor and Morgan
also discuss the different spirits an investigation might uncover
and future ghost box applications and technologies.
Sharing actual transcripts of investigations, The Double-Blind
Ghost Box works toward communicating the existence of the
paranormal through objective research.
Shawn Taylor has a technical background in computer hardware,
software, programming, digital media, Six Sigma problem solving,
statistical analysis, psychology, and counseling.
Daniel Morgan earned degrees in behavioral science and
electrical engineering.

The Hundredth Monkey takes its title from philosopher Ron
Amundson's expose of the "Hundredth Monkey Phenomenon," a claim
about collective consciousness. Forty-three essays by thirty-nine
authors, including Isaac Asmov, Martin Gardner, Carl Sagan, Ray
Hyman, Paul Kurtz, and James Randi, examine aspects of paranormal
and fringe-science beliefs from an authoritative, scientific point
of view. The penetrating and entertaining essays, many with timely
postscripts, are grouped into nine categories: - Understanding
Human Need - Examining Popular Claims - Encouraging Critical
Thinking - Medical Controversies - Evaluating the Anomalous
Experience - Astrology - Considering Parapsychology - Crashed
Saucer Claims - Controversies Within Science Scientists and
scholars discuss the burden of skepticism and the delicate balance
between a creative openness to new ideas and the relentless
scrutiny of new claims. A classic source book for scientifically
responsible explanations of controversies, hoaxes, bizarre
mysteries, and popular cultural myths.
In the first few chapters of Blinded by Vision, you may think to
yourself, "What an unlucky girl " And you may also think that she
had endured enough to last more than one lifetime. By the end, you
may feel as if you have just read a sci-fi thriller--and yet it is
the truth. Author Tracy Williams shares a range of feelings--humor,
love, fear, tragedy, drama, and sorrow--but most of all, hope.
Tracy and Nancy have known each other for twenty years. Nancy
started out as a customer, and now they are great friends. Who
could be better to help write Tracy's story? The point of Blinded
by Vision is to demonstrate that psychics actually do have very
different life experiences from that of the average person. Enjoy
the journey.
