In-depth meanings of the zodiac symbols are revealed, making for a richer understanding of human nature
Examining the degrees of the zodiac signs and planets has traditionally involved a dry, technical approach to astrological soul-searching. In this unique book, Ellias Lonsdale encourages personal growth by illuminating the meanings of the signs' degrees. Working in a tradition begun by Marc Edmund Jones's Sabian Symbols and Dane Rudhyar's An Astrological Mandala, Lonsdale fleshes out the symbols and imagery of the degrees with his introduction of the Chandra symbols. These vividly suggestive images, described by shamanic language, raise the level of analysis possible with degrees to a rich, metaphorical tapestry.
Inside Degrees reinvigorates the zodiac with emotional intensity and primal understanding. Because each degree is one-thirtieth a sign -- one episode of an epic tale -- the depth and detail of charting one's character grows tremendously. Lonsdale's book is far more that typical astrology; it is "inner" astrology. Applied with the techniques detailed in Lonsdale's earlier book, Inside Planets, this new work will increase comprehension of one's personal nature.

The science of esoteric astrology is said to be the basic occult science for the future. It will come into its own as the esoteric or soul factors begin to supersede the exoteric focus of the vast majority of professional and amateur astrologers today. This is the science which deals with those conditioning and governing energies and forces which play through and upon the whole field of space and all that is found within that field. The Ancient Wisdom teaches that "Space is an entity". It is with the life of this entity and with the forces and energies, the impulses and the rhythms, the cycles and the times and seasons, that esoteric astrology deals. Esoteric astrology can be applied by the trained worker in a variety of ways; in medicine, psychology, science, education; to an evaluation of human problems, of the destiny of nations, of a correct interpretation of world affairs, and so on. It is necessary, however, that at this stage the application of esoteric astrology to human life should be recognised as experimental and tentative, so that each individual worker can adjust his thinking and his methods according to his own wrought-out experience. As with all other aspects of occultism and esotericism, accuracy and facility to work depend entirely on a consciousness evolving out of control by the personality into the life of the soul, out of separateness and self-centredness into a realisation of unity, and absorption into a centre of group consciousness. Astrology is described in this book as "the science of relationships" - the relationship existing between all living organisms within the universe. Not only the qualities of the ray energies affect these centres of consciousness, but also the quality and energy of the ruling planets and the zodiacal signs. Seen from the exoteric outside, astrology is a vast and most involved and complex subject. From the esoteric inside, while it is still vast, all-inclusive and complex, it is also possible to perceive the thread which unites and the pattern which prevails throughout the whole system. A basic simplicity in the grand design emerges, therefore, which can serve to interpret the whole. The main chapter headings to this book provide the sequence in developing study: (1) The Zodiac and the Rays (2) The Nature of Esoteric Astrology (3) The Science of Triangles (4) The Sacred and Non-Sacred Planets (5) Three Major Constellations (6) The Three Crosses (7) The Rays, Constellations and Planets. In addition there is an appendix which summarises and tabulates many of the factors of fundamental importance to the study of esoteric astrology. This is a book for the true occult student. It may appear to be too highly specialised for some; but every esoteric worker finds eventually that his work requires an understanding of the basic astrological factors which affect all relationships and all forms of life within the ethers of space, so that he may learn how to cooperate intelligently in the evolution of the whole by the right adjustment of the part within that whole; until eventually "the many are absorbed into the One." The books of Alice A. Bailey, written in cooperation with a Tibetan teacher between 1919-1949, constitute a continuation of the Ageless Wisdom--a body of esoteric teaching handed down from ancient times in a form which is always suitable to each period. Intended to precede and condition the coming era, the Alice A. Bailey writings offer an unparalleled spiritual approach to such subjects as the teaching on Shamballa and the Path of spiritual evolution; the spiritual Hierarchy; the new discipleship and training in meditation as a form of service; the teaching on the seven rays and the new psychology of the soul; the teaching on esoteric astrology; and the new world religion, which emphasizes the common thread of truth linking all the major world faiths.
A telepath with contact to ETs, Bateman has provided a wide spectrum of scientific information. A fascinating compilation of articles surveying the Federation, ETs, evolution and the trading houses, all part of the true history of the galaxy.
A beautiful book which for the first time explores the relationship between the cycles of Venus and Mars and their impact on our lives - especially where relationships are concerned. Michele Finey has thoroughly researched her subject, and using many case histories she shows how, although synastry is important, possibly of greater importance is the aspect between the two planets within their cycles because that can dictate the timing of key moments in a relationship. She shows how the degree of the original conjunction between the two planets ('the degree of passion'), based on the time of birth can indicate the kind of the people we are attracted to and the course a romance can follow. A really absorbing book which will prompt hours of research!

2013 Reprint of 1930 Edition. Exact facsimile of the original edition, not reproduced with Optical Recognition Software. George Washington Carey (1845-1924) was an American physician known for a number of 1910s 'Chemistry of Life' publications, a subject which he referred to as biochemistry, particularly his 1919 "The Chemistry of Human Life." Carey combined a mixture of religion, astrology, physiology, anatomy, and chemistry, themed particularly with a mineral-based theory of human disease, to develop his theories. Carey is popular among the new-age and homeopathic circles. In the context of a person viewed as a "human molecule," Carey was the first to state that a person's body is a "chemical formula in operation." This title is the first part: "Relation of the Mineral Salts of the Body to the Signs of the Zodiac," of this classic and later publication; "The Zodiac and the Salts of Salvation." With the renewed interest in homeopathy, increased study of astrology and the entrance of the Aquarian Age, this book has gained more importance. It is an attempt to answer all the questions regarding the cell salts.
Geodetic astrology literally means 'World' astrology. The Geodetic Equivalent concept was originally a house cusp structure calculated for any geographic location, and a natal chart inserted within it can be used for personal relocation in order to emphasise or alleviate specific points on that chart. The chart of an eclipse, lunation, or Great Conjunction can also be inserted within its cusp structure for mundane astrology, observing angular emphasis in forecasting. The concept has now been advanced to place the zodiac across a map of the world for a quick glance at where a planet's position or even an eclipse degree would have its greatest influence, pinpointing global "hot" spots for a notable event. It could indicate the escalation of political activity and societal tension, predict the potential of an earthquake or a volcanic eruption, or indicate extreme weather conditions due to shifts in ocean currents. This book is a fascinating compilation of the author's countless years of study in the application of both mundane astrology and personal relocation. It can be understood by any level of astrological student due to the many examples, stories and explanatory text and will no doubt provide inspiration for further research.
In astrology, each planet in our solar system is symbolically associated with specific archetypes, characteristics, themes and patterns in human experience. The discovery in 2005 of Eris -- a dwarf planet beyond Pluto -- was therefore an event of great significance for astrology as well as astronomy. In this unique book, Keiron Le Grice considers the astrological significance of Eris. How, he asks, can we determine Eris's meaning? What archetypal themes is it associated with? In what ways might the myths of Eris, the Greek goddess of strife, be relevant to the astrological meaning? What can Eris's discovery tell us about the evolutionary challenges we now face? Drawing on a wide variety of perspectives -- including mythology, ecology, religion, history, philosophy and Jungian psychology -- Le Grice carefully constructs a multi-faceted picture of Eris's possible meaning, helping to illuminate the unprecedented events of our time and providing clues to our possible future directions.
Every aspect of the self, from our ambitions and motivations to the soul's evolutionary journey, can be traced back to Pluto. This powerful planet of transformation is the key to understanding the factors in your natal chart, ultimately revealing your karmic mission. Inspired by Jeffrey Wolf Green's best-selling Pluto, Volume I, this groundbreaking astrology book offers clear, step-by-step instruction and practical application of his original work's methods. Pinpoint your soul's evolutionary stage by locating Pluto in your natal chart. Gain insight into your psychological makeup, identify your soul's evolutionary stage, and discover your true purpose in this life. Fascinating case studies of famous figures throughout history such as Richard Nixon and Nostradamus lend a vibrant and personal touch to the core principles of evolutionary astrology. As you master these techniques, you will reconnect with an evolving sense of purpose and actualize your potential for spiritual growth.
The American Ephemeris 1950-2050 at Midnight, The Trans-Century Edition, is published in response to multiple requests for a one hundred year ephemeris covering these "most useful years." With the years 1950 through 2050, only one ephemeris needs to be at hand, especially when traveling, for an astrologer to do quick lookups of both birth data and transiting data over the expected life span of most people currently living. Since the 1976 publication of the first version of The American Ephemeris, 1931-1980, Neil F. Michelsen's ground-breaking series of ephemerides for astrologers have consistently set standards for accuracy in astrology, becoming indispensible to astrologers worldwide at every level from student to professional. The tradition continues with the addition of this new tropical ephemeris spanning from mid 20th century through mid 21st century. Rique Pottenger has revised and expanded the Michelsen programming with updated Jet Propulsion Laboratory data and improvements in the computer generating program that, for example, enable finding double ingresses in a single day, plus more accurate station times. A new formula increases the accuracy of the Galactic Center calculation. Other new features have been added, the most obvious of which are the dwarf planets Ceres and Eris, in response to the 2006 decisions of the International Astronomical Union. Monthly positions have also been added for the remaining three of the former four major asteroids in wide use among astrologers, Pallas, Juno and Vesta, and also for the centaur, Chiron.
This book has been several years in the writing - something which becomes immediately obvious once you start reading it. Henry Seltzer has left very few stones unturned in his quest to understand how the archetypal Eris shows itself in a wide variety of charts. From writers to revolutionaries and musicians to poets, the non-negotiable and sometimes violent energy of this new discovery bursts through to enrich and enliven any chart delineation. This treasure trove includes lots of case histories as well as chapters on Eris through the houses and in aspect with other planets. A historical Appendix is also included.
Horary Astrology Re-examined is a detailed and highly informative book, demonstrating clearly and unambiguously that traditional methods are applicable to all astrology. There is no division between different 'branches'. Barbara Dunn examines the methods by which astrologers of the past evaluated planetary strengths in order to make a judgement on a Question, Nativity, Election or any other type of chart. These evaluations provide a platform for judgement today, in just the same way as they did over a thousand years ago. For all charts, the process of evaluation is broadly the same, what Coley calls the "short comprehensive and approved rules of Art." The focus of this work is Questions and the aim practical rather than philosophical. Horary Astrology Re-examined is a comprehensive reference work, as well as a casebook, giving judgement on over fifty Questions. Ptolemy, Al Biruni, Masha'allah, Abu Ma'shar, Abu 'Ali Al Khayyat, Bonatti, Dariot and William Lilly are just some of the authors referred to. Where there are doubts arising through a poor translation, an unsympathetic translator or other factors, Ms Dunn provides clarification. Instead of seeking to change or modify the tools and techniques handed down by our ancestors, or denying that astrology is about prediction, Horary Astrology Re-examined offers confirmation that astrologers need to "come to grips with their history, complex as it is.. like an isolated ethnic group, they need the courage of their identity in a hostile world." Kitson]
Defines the energies symbolized by astrological factors and describes their relevance for psychological theory and contemporary counseling.
