The Golden Open Slow Drying Acrylic Paint Landscape Set is a collection of seven slow drying acrylic colours that provide an excellent outdoor palette. The colours will produce a wide variety of hues, shades, and tints found in nature. Open Acrylics remain wet far longer than other acrylics and resist skinning on the palette during long painting sessions in the studio and outdoors.

Golden Open Acrylics have an extended drying time, allowing you to work with your paint for longer. These colours are very versatile: they can be used directly from the tube for traditional styles and plein air painting, or for monoprinting and screenprinting.

Open colours are workable for a similar length of time as professional oil colours (up to 100 times the drying time of regular acrylic paint). Unlike oils, you can use them without any strong solvents. You can blend, soften, shade, glaze, and use fine detail, and the paint will remain workable and wet. These cylindrical pastels are created with minimal binders and their extra soft texture means that they distribute colour well. The pastels can be blended or mixed with one another easily. The use of a final fixative is highly recommended.
