Sennelier Abstract Acrylic Paint is a high quality fine acrylic contained in a robust and flexible air-tight pouch. The highly pigmented colors have a creamy, heavy body consistency and come in a mix of standard satin and selected high gloss finishes.

The flexible air-tight pouches can be firmly resealed with the nozzle, which means the paint stays wet and workable, and can easily be applied directly to the painting surface. The paint is better preserved because air cannot get inside the pouch and the contents can be used completely with no wastage.

The versatile consistency of Sennelier Abstract makes for excellent handling whether with a brush, palette knife, or used straight out of the pouch. The range also includes a selection of modern iridescent and fluorescent colors.

Sennelier Oil Sticks are made of artist quality oil paint. The proportion of the oil is substituted with a neutral mineral, resulting in the stick appearance.

These oil sticks contain the highest quality pure pigments ground into vegetable oils selected for their low degree of yellowing over time. Oil sticks offer the same advantages as oil paint. The suppleness of use enables you to experiment with a variety of techniques. Contrary to oil paint, the drying process for the surface color film is rather quick; usually it takes a day. Before using an oil stick for the very first time, peel off the thin dry skin in order to release the paint. This thin layer will form again after you have used it.

Jackson’s Handmade Soft Pastels are high quality, artist grade pastels. There are 200 soft and bright colours in the range, as well as a wide variety of themed selection sets.

Our Soft Pastels are made carefully by hand which makes them very soft with a smooth, buttery consistency. They have a low binder to pigment ratio which makes them rich and luminous, allowing for both subtle and bold mark making.

Their excellent lightfast qualities mean that pastel paintings created with them will not deteriorate over time. The four fluorescent colours are the only exception; like all fluorescent colours they are not lightfast.

The pastels are made solely from pigments, a bentonite clay binder, and calcium carbonate (chalk). Each pastel measures approximately 55mm in length and 15mm in diameter.

The Sennelier oil pastel is a product that makes use of the components used in all Sennelier colours: top-quality pigments, an extremely pure synthetic binding medium and mineral wax. The pigments are ground with an inert, non-siccative binding medium that does not oxidise and that has no effect upon either film stability or surface. This base is then mixed with wax (neutral pH). The balance of this mix provides Sennelier oil pastels with a unique feel and a creamy texture that allows for a great deal of freedom in expression.

Sennelier gathers only the finest organic and inorganic pigments from around the world. These pure pigments are ground very slowly with extreme care to an extra-fine consistency. They are then combined at maximum concentration with an archival safflower oil to yield the highest possible tinting strength and a rich satin finish. This paint has a unique buttery texture.

This blue is light and delicate with a slight purple tinge. This color is said to have been created by millers in Somerset who won a competition to make a dress for Queen Charlotte, consort of King George III.

Lino cutting is a relief printmaking process. The desired design is cut in reverse into the surface of the block with lino cutting tools. Once this process is complete, ink is applied to the raised (that is, uncut) areas of the block using a roller/brayer. The design can then be printed in a press or burnished by hand. This Lino Cutting set includes four Flexcut blades of different shapes and an interchangeable handle. To maintain these tools in good condition, the set also includes an eleven-pocket tool-bag, a strop and a polishing compound.

Working with Schmincke’s finest extra soft pastels will give you a completely unique drawing experience. They have an incredibly high concentration of top quality pigment powder held together by the absolute minimum amount of binding agent - just enough to ensure that they remain a stable compound. Unlike many pastels on the market, they also do not contain chalk or additives which helps keep their colouration pure and consistent throughout each pastel.

This stripped-back recipe results in such soft pastels that Schmincke had to design a costly and time-consuming manufacturing process to stop them from breaking. Each lump of pre-kneaded pastel dough is rolled into rounded skeins which are sectioned by hand and laid onto a sheet. The skeins are then cut by hand with a wire-strung frame and transferred onto wooden palettes where they are left to dry for around 2 weeks. By this time they are so soft that they need to be wrapped by hand and gently placed in their foam packaging. Each pastel is covered in an information sheet that denotes its colour name, number and grade of graduation:
