This work presents a sustained reflection on the New Testament
vision of God's revelation of his glory in Christ. This divine
"appearing" is grounded in the self-emptying of the eternal Logos
in the incarnation, cross and descent into hell, yet this is the
means whereby his glory is manifested and enriches all who are
seized by its beauty.
'It is in great simplicity that great beauty is revealed, and only
then may we discover where God truly hides.' In this moving
exploration of the path to understanding God's presence, Liam
Lawton considers how we bring spiritual awakening and consolation
into our lives, in every circumstance. Taking inspiration from the
gentle, age-old wisdom of the Book of Ecclesiastes - 'There is a
time for everything, and a season for everything under the sun' -
he begins his journey of reflection and contemplation. Over its
course, Liam shares remarkable stories of God's revelation in
ordinary human life and of the people and events that have touched
him during his years of ministry, along with fascinating
perspectives on his own spiritual awakening. 'These pages reveal a
God who does not intrude upon human living but rather is available
to enter into the very depth of it and become present to those who
wish for 'eyes to see and ears to hear'. Here are stories of pain
and beauty, challenge and consolation, but, above all, inspiration'
“Moet ek eers wag tot ek dood is voordat ek God se wil verstaan?” So
begin Stephan Joubert sy boek God se wil vir jou lewe.
Op sy unieke manier doen Stephan Joubert ’n diepgaande ondersoek na
hierdie vraag om vas te stel hoe ons nou al God se wil kan ken. Die
boek is verdeel in twee dele:
• Deel 1 is 9 hoofstukke waarin Stephan onder andere kyk na die
misterie van God se wil, Jesus as die gesig van God se wil, reëls oor
God se wil en vensters op God se wil.
• Deel 2 is 31 Bybelstudies, vir individue of groepe, wat die
verskillende fasette van God se wil bekyk, waaronder: Verander God se
wil my in ’n robot?, Mag ek vrae vra oor God se wil? en vele meer.

Biblical fiction retelling of Noah and the Ark.
Zara and Noah have walked together with the Creator for their entire lives, and they have done their best in an increasingly wicked and defiant world to raise their three sons to follow in their footsteps. It has been a challenge--and it's about to get much, much harder.
When the Creator tells her husband to build an ark to escape the coming wrath against the sins of humankind, Zara steps out with him in faith. But the derision and sabotage directed their way from both friends and extended family are difficult to bear, as is knowing that everyone she interacts with beyond her husband, her sons, and their wives is doomed to destruction. And when the ark is finally finished and the animals have been shut up inside, Zara and her family embark on an adventure that will test their patience and their faith as they await deliverance and dry ground.
Experience the story of Noah and the flood like you never have before. With bestselling and award-winning author Jill Eileen Smith as your guide, you'll never look at a rainbow the same way again.
From 1326 to 1402, Bursa, known to the Byzantines as Prousa, served
as the first capital of the Ottoman Empire. It retained its
spiritual and commercial importance even after Edirne (Adrianople)
in Thrace, and later Constantinople (Istanbul), functioned as
Ottoman capitals. Yet, to date, no comprehensive study has been
published on the city's role as the inaugural center of a great
empire. In works by art and architectural historians, the city has
often been portrayed as having a small or insignificant pre-Ottoman
past, as if the Ottomans created the city from scratch. This
couldn't be farther from the truth. In this book, rooted in the
author's archaeological experience, Suna Cagaptay tells the story
of the transition from a Byzantine Christian city to an Islamic
Ottoman one, positing that Bursa was a multi-faith capital where we
can see the religious plurality and modernity of the Ottoman world.
The encounter between local and incoming forms, as this book shows,
created a synthesis filled with nuance, texture, and meaning.
Indeed, when one looks more closely and recognizes that the
contributions of the past do not threaten the authenticity of the
present, a richer and more accurate narrative of the city and its
Ottoman accommodation emerges.
Serena Fass has attempted to illustrate Jesus' Great Commission:
"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved." (Mark 16: 15 - 16)
and has presented a balance between the many different strands of
the Christian faith, for each century, from the earliest Christians
in Pompeii until today, and criss-crossing the globe from North to
South: from Norway to Mozambique - and West to East: from Peru to
Australia. Categories include architecture, painting, sculpture,
ivories, textiles, metalwork, jewellery and portraits of people
wearing crosses, as well as examples of the cross in nature.

We all have times when we feel trapped by life. A world of
dysfunction seems to hem us in on every side as our hearts yearn
for horizons that seem just beyond our grasp. We search for
pathways forward we just can't seem to find. But, as Derek Webster
demonstrates, God wants to lead us to health. How do we do that?
Viewed through the lens of the familiar Old Testament Bible story
of Joseph, Your Mess, God's Masterpiece shows us a way to journey
from trapped to triumphant living. This book will help you move
from the mess you're stuck in, to become the masterpiece God longs
for you to be.
