every time you read it. Little Timmy is in a bit of a bind. He gets
home from school to find that he is itchy everywhere Your toddler
will be able to follow along with Little Timmy as he scratches
away; one body part after the other. Although there may be other
books about body parts for children here on Amazon, I think I was
bit by a Mosquito is very unique because it serves three functions.
First, it is a wonderful learning tool for younger toddlers who are
just becoming familiar with their bodies and are curious about
their various body parts. I Think I was Bit by a Mosquito covers an
incredible 18 body parts A great educational book for kids age 1-4.
The second piece is that I think I was bit by a Mosquito is such a
fun book that even kids who are already familiar with the body
parts being mentioned will love mimicking the actions of little
Timmy and playing along. The third benefit is that your child will
be learning how to rhyme with words. My toddler loves to pretend
that he is itchy everywhere just like little Timmy. Try this out
with your little one and it will be nothing but fun and giggles;
creating memories that you will cherish forever.

Fearsome Fred always took the new ball
He was lightning fast and ever so tall
He'd sprint to the crease with one final jump
He'd aim to hit the top of off stump...
Cricket Our Great Summer Game is the great way of introducing
Cricket to children in a rhyming story. Two vibrant pictures and
eight lines of rhyme explain the role of all the key players in a
game of cricket, including opening batsmen, tailenders, fast
bowlers, spinners and even the umpires, using the terminology of
the great game.
Finished with a diagram of the pitch highlighting various
fielding positions, explanations of how the batsmen can be
dismissed and what the key umpire signals mean, this is a fun way
of giving children a good understanding of the game.

In the second of this wonderful series, Johnny, literature's most
hospitable crow, further improves his garden and invites the other
animals round for a party. Old favourites are here, such as the
Lion, the Bear and the never-mentioned penguins; but new animals
are introduced too, such as a French-speaking cockatoo, a sleepy
sheep and a kangaroo who likes blue roses. This colour version has
been carefully restored to keep as close to the original as
possible, faithfully reproducing the detailed pen and ink drawings
and the rich colour illustrations.
This delightful picture book, first published in 1903, still

gorgeous pictures. Small children will be captivated by the
charming tales of Johnny Crow's animal friends and the unlikely
things that happen to them in his Garden. This colour version has

Randolph Caldecott (1846-1886) was one of the most important
British illustrators. He transformed the world of decorated
children's books in the Victorian era. In 1877, he was asked by
Edmund Evans, the colour printer and talented engraver, to
illustrate two children's books. These books were an immediate
success and he went on to produce two books every Christmas until
he died. Caldecott chose all the stories and rhymes he illustrated
and occasionally wrote and added to the stories himself. His
delightful style and humour can still be enjoyed by young and old
alike. This book, 'R. Caldecott's Picture Book No. 1', is a
collection of the first four stories he published. Many of the
earliest children's books, particularly those dating back to the
1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly
expensive. Pook Press are working to republish these classic works
in affordable, high quality, colour editions, using the original
text and artwork so these works can delight another generation of
children.

Walter Crane (1845-1915) was one of the earliest contributors to
children's literature and one of the most influential illustrators
in the development of children's colour picture books. Crane began
working for Edmund Evans in 1864 producing bright, colourful
children's books which revolutionised the type of children's books
available. He created a series of 'Toy Books' between 1865-1875
which contained fairy stories, nursery rhymes and other tales of
adventures. His wonderful Japanese influenced illustrations with
their bright, bold, flat colour and black outline never failed to
entertain both children and adults. This book 'The Sleeping Beauty
Picture Book' is one of many 'Toy Books', it contains the stories,
The Sleeping Beauty, Blue Beard and The Baby's Own Alphabet. Many
