Have you ever been on a Playbus? ; Not an ordinary bus taking you
on a journey, exciting though this is, but a bus stuffed full of
toys and imagination! ; When Sue's two children were young, they
attended a playgroup on such a bus and as a young mum and volunteer
she became involved with the project. The bus really got into her
blood and became a work of the heart. ; Daisy Daydream was the bus
Sue painted for her children and where she became involved.
Together with her children, she had a lot of fun. ; Following the
publication of her first books about Jay-Jay her daughter suggested
they needed a book for their bus, Daisy. ; The story of Daisy
Daydream is based on a busy London bus. The number plates on the
story buses are real and Daisy's number plate is JJD 261, which was
indeed a London Bus. ; After Daisy's story book was published Sue
felt Daisy needed her own book of rhymes too. ; One of the carnival
parade themes was 'Nursery Rhymes', this was perfect for Daisy so
she decided to take some traditional and new rhymes and add a bus
twist. ; She added bus tickets with few bus jokes to make you
giggle, or groan.
