Great streaming handheld...if you have the hardware to back it up with!

Just to be clear: if you don't own a PC, games console or subscribe to some form of cloud gaming service, then this device is not for you (even at the reduced sales price). Yes, it is a basic Android handheld (much better than some of the stuff going on TEMU) and it can download and play some older/basic games from the Google Play Store (or side-loaded, if you are so inclined...) but this is very limited due to Android 12 and its underpowered internals. I have not tried it but you can do some basic retro game emulation on the hardware, but anything upwards of PS1/N64 seems problematic...BUT if you already have a gaming setup at home and a decent Wifi router (WIFI 5 and up), this handheld can really shine! I have mostly tried Remote Play with my Xbox Series S and this works quite lovely, if you are relatively close to the router, mind you. The good ergonomics, decent controls, long battery life, great screen and front-facing speakers all add to a lovely streaming experience...AGAIN, if you have the hardware to back it up. Steamlink works too, but I only tested the connection as my PC is not set up for gaming at all. I am interested to try Xbox Cloud or similar, think it will work well. Reviewers report similar positive experiences with PS and PC, so hoping that you will also find a sweet spot with your setup....Yes, you could get a similar (and perhaps better) experience buying a snap-on controller for your phone/tablet (Abxylute sells a good-looking one on Loot!) but I find that having a dedicated device for this is preferable than using my phone, as the sound is better, I don't kill my phone battery and since it is dedicated the connection seems more stable...or maybe I just like having a solid piece of hardware in my hands that I can experiment with without worrying my data or login details get stolen. Great pick-up at this sale price, if you want to play your console/PC games in bed...just don't buy it to mainly play Android or retro games, this is fiddly and disappointing at best.
Luv: Included carrying case and screen protector, FHD screen, Auto-brightness, HAL sticks/triggers, solid construction, but thin and light.
Not so much: stuck on Android 12, stick caps too small, fiddly & limited Android/retro gaming, slow charging.
