Poetic Healing...is likely to capture the attention of readers from
all walks of life and various generations, because of the material
the author covers in the book and the way he presents it. Hall
gives a vivid account of the images seen by people throughout the
world September 11, 2001. In a calm and soothing way, he pours from
his own soul the thoughts and feelings that were on the minds of so
many people after the surprise attack on the United States of
America. Lives and possessions were lost but many of the poems in
this collection seem to highlight the glimmer of hope that remains
to sustain us in our determination to keep trusting in God and to
live in harmony with other human beings. Al Hall has been
interested in poetry since childhood, when he enjoyed listening to
his parents read nursery rhymes. His mother usually recited a few
rhyming lines as a part of counseling or disciplining him and his
siblings. The author believes this early beginning that sparked his
interest in poetry enables him to write about daily life situations
as they occur among people and in places around him.
